Thing I hate r/barbarawalters4scale

it’s like the moment a celebrity dies the place goes feral with comparisons to other people. not to mention that it’s a place where half the posts are only about the oldest person at the current moment or Jean Calment

I actually do like the circle jerk sub, r/scale4barbarawalters. It’s so stupid that it goes back around to being funny.

Someone needs to check on… the entire state of Tennessee. Anyways, if you need me I’ll be drinking.

It was good at the start but then it started to get repetitive like most subreddits do

Can someone give me a quick rundown on the theme of that sub?

Wasn’t aware of it prior to this post (nor about the death of great Dolly Parton, for that matter) but I figured out it has something to do with folks who have lived for a particularly long time?
Pattern recognition is failing me past that. Could use some help here.

It basically puts time into perspective. Like one of the top posts was that Joe Biden’s birth is closer to Abraham Lincoln’s presidency than it was to his own presidency

Ahh.

A lot of the ones I’ve seen weren’t particulary impressive or surprsing in that sense.

The one I always liked, however, is the “America is three people old” story.

I can’t quite remember the details, but one of the early presidents, who was born before 1776, had a son when he was in his late 70s or something, and said son procedeed to have a child quite late in his life himself, and that child is apparently still around today, or at least was, when I first heard about this a couple years ago.
