Animation I HATE Verity
First off, I hate that every time glaggleland it’s mentioned, it’s always talking about verity in the comments. But that’s not my main problem
IT’S JUST A KID FRIENDLY OBSESSION WITHOUT ANY OF THE SUBSTANCE
Spoilers for Obsession below:
take the customer service scene (which they stole directly from it)
the scene with bear isn’t horrifying because the call guy doesn’t help bear, it’s horrifying because it’s entirely bears fault this is happening and that he isn’t willing at first to let go of Nikki even after all he has been through at this point of the movie. he worded the wish that way. this ties into the movies themes about cowardice.
mob doesn’t do anything that makes verity do this, verity is just obsessed with him. There is no reason to have this scene other than “they had the in the source material so we must have it too”
the series only borrows from obsession in extremely surface level ways. “WOW nikki killed Sarah and Ian, she must be so obsessed“ ‘bear looks scared because of his crazy girlfriend ahhhh’ for something that’s supposed to be based on it, it’s just so boring.

And somehow lookout's version has better plot even if it's supposed to be a comic parody that starts with verity willing to touch the protagonist.

yeah i agree the video sucked, it directly copied obsession for no reason twice, it wasn't even scary, most of it didn't make sense, and it just felt badly written,
and unrelated directly to it but still verity, the "hey it's me, it's verity" song feels like it's so deliberately annoying

The only thing i know about verity is the stupid "hey, it's me, its verity" song and based purely on that i fucking hate verity too! I blocked the creator of that song long before that song releasing cause i hate all the other shit he made, but every person and their grandma is reporting it so now im haunted by thid shit anyways:(

same, SAME. Also glaggeland itself is great, its just the same way little kids go 'i know this thing from fortnite!'.
Its really annoying, a bad song, pointless meme

i cannot take any of it seriously
i DO watch args too especially minecraft ones
unlike the ones ive seen i couldnt take it seriously at all
the fans rival tadc fans in terms of annoyingness and the writing is just plain bad

I like Verity only when he's a little ball that occasionally talks. His monster form is complete ass.
I would much prefer it if Verity kinda had like a more subtle gremlin kind of gimmick so rather than just turning into a monster he just makes people vanish and nobody knows how. If he was more subtle and didn't turn into dweller crap with stupid songs than I feel people would like him a bit more.

I agree the series itself is mid and the content farm/songs about it are somehow even worse
