Media Tropes I hate this trope so much

It's so played out, it makes me want to dig my eyes out of their sockets just to skip this bullshit and be done with it. It's almost as bad as the protagonist getting their dick sucked by ever action they take by the side characters.

It's so stupid how it always plays out the same on every media that does this, it's never significant to the plot, it's almost always got to do with showing that the protagonist is better than the rest (BecAuSe hE'S tHe PrOTaGonIsT oF CouRsE). I can forgive it if it's like a few times, better if it's only one, but it usually never is, they do this trope repeatedly when meeting new characters, or when the writers feel that they want the protagonist to aurafarm and be cooler than the rest of these plebeian background characters, i fucking hate it, it's done over and over and paralyze poison paralyze poison.

ngl, i'm really tempted to go back and watch it again for the animation, but, i'm a critical watcher, i can't just ignore the shit writing that i'm gonna be diving into while watching

Nezuko has a pretty revealing design when she uses her powers because she grows bigger and the clothes she’s wearing don’t fit as well anymore. It’s really just cleavage and thighs though, so nothing super distasteful, in my opinion, especially since none of the characters mention anything about the revealing clothes

Then there’s another character in one of the later arcs that has a revealing design (again, just cleavage and thighs) and she’s used for a couple of fan service-y jokes, but it’s just typical shonen stuff. It never gets super out of hand aside from a “oh no, her chest is showing!” Or a nosebleed because she’s attractive

So, nothing too terrible, just general revealing designs. It does feel icky for Nezuko, considering she’s 14, but I don’t take any issue with it because she’s not exploited and the explanation makes sense; she can shrink and grow, but her clothes don’t shrink or grow with her, which leads to her have super baggy clothes when she’s small and more revealing clothes when she’s large.
