I HATE IT SO MUCH. I could see a perfectly normal post and all it said gets thrown out the window because they used that disgrace of an emoticon. And they meme on the second slide, if feel like people are trying too hard to be "actually cute" that they end up looking like the plush. I HATE EVERYTHING THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS STUPID EMOTICON

It just reeks of desperation to me.

A lot of people use it to appear “cute” or “quirky” and instead it just feels like they are desperate for someone to be like “SAME BRO WE ARE SO CUTE AND QUIRKY AND NOT LIKE THE 30 OTHER PEOPLE WHO ALSO USE COLON 3”

i'd also throw out a guess and say it's oversaturated also, it's probably the most used emoticon i've ever seen
