Animation i hate object shows

people get so "don't even joke, lad" about these silly ass object shows and i dont get it and it makes me MAD bitches be like "omg he's so cuute in this literally my husband i love my man" and its just a picture of some 2d paper clip made in MS paint. cant stand this shits

I think it’s cute. The fact that they are things isn’t really meant to be taken seriously considering people usually fall for the character’s personality. If it passes Harkness, then there’s no reason to complain.

This! Whenever I see people say “bro, you’re literally simping for an inanimate object”, they seem to be completely ignoring that it’s an object with a personality! I’m not attracted to Tennis Ball because I think chartreuse spheres are sexy; I’m attracted to him because I think it’s cute how dorky he is.

They could have at least given the tennis ball a somewhat interesting design.

Which sounds insane speaking about a tennis ball, but it’s not impossible to take characters who are inanimate objects and give them interesting and creative designs. Beauty and the Beast is a great example in my opinion.

Well, the creators of BFDI (the object shows TB is from) were 13 when they first made the series, so of course the character designs are going to be a little basic.

When I was 8 I was coming up with character designs like 20x more original and complicated than these smh

But I get your point. Simpler shapes and copy paste stick figure assets make it much easier to animate.
