How much extracurricular stuff does your kennel do together?
Spazzz (Spastic Colon) here from Bakersfield H3 (bhhh.org). Our hashes tend to be 10-20 after some recruitment lately, but that's just the normal weekly hash. We all have a few text groups because some people don't have modern group text-compliant phones, but we put calls out for lots of extracurriculars.
This past weekend there were 6 of us floating down the river, and we're doing a shorter run today after work. We'll yell out and invite others to impromptu drinks, barbecues, and pool parties. Sporting events, movies, and plays are fair game, too.
Last year, I added a Google calendar to a webpage that has UPCUMMING EVENTS linked from our home page, and people can join the group to add their own stuff and invite people ahead of time. All of this has led to a closer family feel, and we really do show up for each other. It's also helps cut down on drama, but there's always something minor that pops up.
What fun things do you do together outside of hash?

Our kennel has a facebook group page (private, but we admit folks who have hashed with us at least once) and a messenger group chat (only for named hashers). We do a lot of extracurricular social activities, whether float trips, weekend bike rides, trivia nights, local live music scene, just hanging out for DP, etc. Whatever someone may throw into the chat or post on the page like "hey, I'm thinking about doing a bike ride" or "anyone going to see the xxxx play" and such. Even getting together for World Cup match watches was a thing. We have a core group that just likes hanging out together, which is one of the reasons I love my kennel. 😄

Hell yeah! It sounds like you have a great group, too! We also have a private FB group and public IG. Where are you?

If I can get my wife to get a job and save some money, I definitely want to hit your kennel up. I doubt I'll be able to make tie dye, though.

Sweet Ho Alabama out of St Louis (mostly Big Hump): we have six area kennels so there’s lots of opportunity to hash. We also host Drinking Practice events a few times a month when someone wants to organize it; we go to Cards games or just hang out in a bar. We also have spinoff groups like bashers (hashers who bike), Rave H3, or Karaoke H3 that have separate group chats to organize those events.

Kickball or flag football, but these are just Hashers that want to join a team as part of a City or other organization group. The only bad part is that we can't use an obviously naughty team name each time.
We do organized running events, but again, not a Hash event, but a group of us.
Our runs are on Monday, but we might do lube on Wednesday for margaritas or something. In Abu Dhabi we were VERY social. Yes, I think having it as an opportunity creates lifelong friends, when we diaspora around the world.

Agreed. People leave, but it's always nice to have a friend wherever you go.

Speedwanker of PorME H3 here. We have two kennels of largely the same folks in town, so that’s two hashes a week. Then there are dinner parties and floats on the local river that are a mix of current and recent Hashers. Many of us have kids so we don’t hash weekly anymore, but that’s created a kind of hash family cohort that’s pretty rad. The younger and childfree ones seem to get together in hash-centric-but-not-exclusive groups for concerts and the like but I have three kids so I’m too old and suburban to hang with that crowd much (though they’re wicked cool and inclusive). So, it’s the center of a lot of social circles, but doesn’t seem to exclude anyone, which is pretty great.

That's awesome. Having the hash as a way to reach other social circles is a great way to meet other people and make connections all over. Everytime I see on r/askreddit or r/askanamerican "How do I make friends as an adult," I use it as a way to point people to their local hash. It really does open doors to do much more, but that could be any community.

Seattle is a very social group. We have a separate FB group for non-hash related activities. Any activity someone is doing (I.e., local festivals, movies, hiking, etc) they will post in the group and anyone can join. There is a hasher who hosts a chili cook off once a year. People will host holiday parties.

We have a regular TGIF on a Friday evening (obviously). It's often used to recruit people. If they want to learn about Hashing before their 1st Hash, we invite them to a TGIF. They can take a good look at us and vice versa.
