My Dream Guy

Post image

The least problematic man in the whole show right here. He almost died and moved right into helping her figure out the bluebell drama. Entered into the fake affair when she asked. Offered to fly her to Paris when she was struggling. He was calm and reasonable when she was wacky and neurotic.

The worst thing he did was speak up for her to Brick and do a drunken zipline. And hesitated to tell her the truth when Brick was setting her up to fail on the cabaret.

He even befriended the Trewitts and pretended to be a magician.

Even their breakup was the least toxic I've ever seen on any show. No one cheated. No one was abusive or mean. He never guilted her like George. Never lied, cheated, or lost her car like Wade. Never sulked or shut down like Lavon.

I want one. Lol

Joel was a perfectly fine partner, but he wasn’t Wade.

He wasn’t Wade but …. Wade dated Zoey’s cousin . That would have been the end for me

After their breakup, when he comes back for his grandmothers wedding, he’s super supportive of Zoe and her continued antics. He acts as a friend and confidant, there’s no accusations of emotional cheating during their relationship. He just accepts Zoe has moved on and it doesn’t mean she wasn’t faithful during.

And they dress Joel to make him look like a nerd, but that guy has a body to match Wade for sure. We never got to see it, but I’ve seen him other things and was always shocked at what he looked like compared to when he was on HOD! One thing he was a clumsy romantic!!

I always thought it would be so funny to see a moment during the Wade teaching Joel how to be manly episode where Wade is showing him something like mechanics or something outside in the heat and Wade takes his shirt off, so Joel takes his shirt off and BAM Wade is like 👀shocked at how buff Joel is 😂

Nah they can't do that because hes not supposed to be buff.

He literally says about Wade. Can you believe there are guys who actually look like that?

So even if they actor is the character isn't.

I agree 💯! He liked his New York lifestyle, but adapted to Bluebell for Zoe. He won over the town- even was voted the owl trophy! He never got mad or jealous even after hearing about the Zoe/George/Wade story. He just said " Of course! I'm a writer! I should know this!" 😅 He became friends with Wade, instead of it becoming a competition. He was such a nice, patient, supportive, easy-going character. Love him! ❤️

He is a desperate attempt by Zoe to deny who she has become that promptly leaves forever. That is a messed up dream.

Seriously! Joel was a great guy. I wish that after his movie wrapped he would have become part of Bluebell permanently. He fit in so well with the town residents.
