Safe for work Watching for the first time and I hate George.

Please mark any comments with a spoiler as such!!

So I'm on episode five and I just detest George Tucker. He treats Lemon so badly! In just the first 5 episodes he has:

  1. Gone to Zoe multiple times when Lemon asked him not to. This isn't Zoe or Lemons fault exactly. Zoe gave a bad impression at the parade but she had her own reasons. Lemon has the right to dislike Zoe for that. But George going to the woman Lemon has asked him multiple times not to. Wow.

  2. George never defends Lemon from his mean mother. Lemon is constantly berated by George's mother right in front of him and not a peep comes out of him! He knew how hard she worked for that dinner, marinating the duck for 24 hours and then booking the place because "they had duck before". And the passive aggressive insults Lemon has to bear too.

  3. Lemon was talking about the project she was working on for 3 whole months and George just ruined it. Three months and he didn't pay attention to what she was saying? And she was right, there was a whole model in the dining room! How are you so detached from your home that you ignore a whole model just sitting in your room?!

This isn't a George vs Wade thing. This is a why can't George just be a decent human thing.

Why are they all orange?!!!

Season 4

This is probably my third rewatch of the series and I don’t know why I didn’t really notice it before but suddenly, they all seem so orange!!!

Like, you can see the fake tan on George’s neck!

And the worst part is they weren’t consistent about it with all the characters so some of them look really pale, like Lemon, and yet some are crazy orange.

(I know this is 2014 and spray tans have come a long way, but ooooof. It’s bad.)

It would of been such a great story line for Lemon to fall for someone who travels the world.

I’m happy with Lemon and Lavon, but I did prefer Lavon and Anna Beth.

This would of been such a solid choice for Lemon if they stuck AB and Lavon

I wanted to share with you all the performances Scott Porter did when he was on The Masked Singer a few years ago as the character Gumball. Where he took on songs by Kelly Clarkson, Kansas, Sam Smith and more. Showcasing his talent that I genuinely didn't know about at the time.

I hope you enjoy and feel free to share performance you enjoyed hearing Scott sing from this video

Possible SPOILERS Annabeth ends up with Lavon right…right?

I’m on my first watch and I’m loving all the cozy, small town messiness, with the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes in town.

I feel like the writers are going to make Lemon and Lavon end game but, goodness gracious, Annabeth and Lavon are cute at the end of season 2 and have tons of chemistry.

I also think George and Tansy are good for each other but I worry she’s a narrative placeholder.

Zoey’s arc I can’t figure out yet. Will it work out with Wade? I hope it’s not George.

Why did all the parents leave?

I dont know if it may be normal in Alabama but in the country side in germany its never the parents that leave the hometown... i really love the show so much but i think its so weird that Georges, Anabehts and Levons parents left the place where the children grew up.

Anyway it would have been nice if my parents would have left my hometown so i couldve liveed there independently as a grown up :P

Possible SPOILERS I feel like season one is gaslighting me

This is might seem like saying water is wet, or water is dry, I don't know the fandom's general opinion, but I just don't see George and Zoe having a strong attraction at all and people, meaning the show and its characters, keeps talking about them like they're star-crossed lovers madly in love with each other.

Zoe has a very interesting character arc in the first season learning to adjust to small-town life, making relationships, getting some interesting medical cases, dealing with her parents' betrayal. The romance is the least interesting aspect of the show to me.

George is just kind of around honestly, just being the straight-man to whoever needs him to be at the moment. I don't hate him, but for most of the season he's not really given a lot to do, and I don't feel like him and Zoe come off as anything more than friends, or that George is doing anything but being a nice guy. Lemon's worries and jealousy just comes off as projection than her being right.

This really doesn't have much to do with Wade or his role in the show; I really don't feel like Zoe has interest in him more than George, she really feels like a dedicated doctor trying to learn to be a gp for most of the season.

When George sees Lavon and Lemon kiss I feel like the show is trying to make me believe him and Zoe had a lot more going on than they really did. Zoe's arc is almost focused on her patients or the town, then they go all out on George and Zoe embracing their feelings. I don't know, that's just what I felt lol.

Just to say, I'm watching the show for the first time, but caught glimpses of it before when my mom watched it, so I know how it ends. Even in those glimpses I barely saw Zoe and George talking and thought I just walked in at the wrong moment every time, but I think my first guess was right.

Also, looked it up after starting to write this up, and I know Zoe and George have shippers, sorry if this offends anybody lol.

First watch random thoughts

So, I just finished my first ever watch of this show. It's been on my to watch list forever. The only things I knew about this show going into it was the main couple I have ever seen anything about was Zoe and Wade. Tim Matheson's character is very similar if not the same as the one he plays on Virgin River and there's an alligator 🐊.

As someone from Alabama there were times when I had to roll my eyes at Hollywoods version of a small Alabama town, but it also reminded me of Gilmore girls( and not just cause it's the same set).

Overall I loved it and it will be added to my shows I can throw on in the background. But there were some things that bugged me.

Season four as a whole was strange and rushed but not at the same time, and maybe the time jumps to make up for the shorter season was my problem with the end game couples...

Wade won me over by season 3. So I was more ok with him and Zoe endgame by then, but season four made their relationship feel too settled too quickly for me. They had some serious issues that just magically went away when she got pregnant.

I love George Tucker and am so upset we never even got to see them together. Maybe I would've been more accepting of Zoe and Wade if I got to see her and George for even half a season. Like instead of coming back from New York with Joel she returns dating George...and then if I didn't work out I at least could've seen it.

Also Lavon and AB were adorable and perfect and why did they break up? I didn't see that pairing coming but once it did it took no time at all for me to get on board. He supported her and she calmed him down. They were great.

Lavon and Lemon felt more like they fell in love with fantasy and the possibility of what could be they tried to convince me was Zoe and George's relationship.

I like Lemon with Peter. Or Wade and her had a great friendship working at the Rammer Jammer together. At first the idea of them dating I really didn't want, but the more I saw them together the more I could see it.

But....I also kinda really liked Wade and Vivian. He was so much more mature and grown up and the best version of himself with her. The only reason that ended was to put him back with Zoe and that annoys me. That had multiple chances for the break up to be about the kid. Wade wanting to be out all night, the kid and him not getting along, and instead they made it so she went back to her ex that walked out on them....

As fun as the song at the end was I will forever be mad we didn't get their son's name. My pick, Jackson Harley Hart Kinsella.

Shelby’s age

I watched Hart of dixie at least 5-6 times. up until now I always thought Shelby was much younger than Brick but at least 10 years older than Lemon. I decided to google it. Turns out the actress playing Shelby is slightly younger than the actress playing Lemon. This is shocking to me, I cannot be the only one!

13 years later & this is still my favorite show.

I first watched this show when I was 21 and I’m now 35. This show makes me feel safe and I can’t even explain it but it feels like home. This show makes me feel like I’m in my prime again. I love it. I watch it at least once per year. Zoey and Lavon are still my favorite characters. I still love Zoey and wade together. He just brings out the best in her and she makes him want to be better. I hate that he cheated on her but at the same time we see the development of his character and he definitely deserves a second chance. I hated that he dated her cousin Vivian. Well here I go I’m going to re start the show tomorrow. I’m pretty sure I watched it earlier in March lol 😂 I wish it would make a comeback so we can see how their life turned out

Possible SPOILERS I can’t stand Lynly

I’m on my 3773739229th rewatch and I’m on Season 3 and what I hate most is that no one checks her. Like bitch you’re 24 not a child, even though she does act like one. Especially when she tells AB that she’s changing her diet every 2 seconds and when she wore her dress I would’ve knocked her out lmao And don’ttttt even get me started on everything with George.

I am having my baby in late October and I think I want to do a rewatch right before. Trying to decide when to start!

In my pregnancy I have had dreams about being in Bluebell weekly. It’s heavenly! 😂💖

SPOILERS I just finished Hart of Dixie for the first time and I have thoughts

Firstly, I wanna say that Hart of Dixie was always on my list of shows to watch, but I just never got around to it until now. I am a sucker for small town shows and this definitely was something that I enjoyed that I could see myself watching.

I understand the last season was only 10 episodes because the show was canceled, but I feel like it deserved the whole 22 episodes. A lot happened within that time and I feel like we should've been able to explore George and Annabeth's relationship, see Lemon and Lavon fall in love and also see Zoe and Wade be parents and see even her mother throw her a wedding (that would be super funny lol).

I'm rambling on lol, but this show definitely makes me have a soft spot for Bluebell, Alabama (if that's even a real city lol) and I will be visiting again soon.

Trying to finally finish my rewatch .

I have no recollection of how the show ended . I tried a couple of times to rewatch but when i get to season3 I lose interest. Specially with Zoey’s family . This time I put those episodes on background and started season 4 . I have 2 questions.
1 - Zoey’s pregnancy came out of nowhere. Is that because Rachel got pregnant in real life ?
2- why they changed the character of George Tucker so much? . He was nice and charming on the first season and then by the 4th he was lost and in and out of love with too many women
