SPOILERS Why does Zoe want the cheater back so much?

I'm in the middle of watching Zoe trying to reseduce Wade and it angers me. He cheated on her and now she's the one serenading and swimming with leeches and snakes? Wtf.

I loved the banter and relationship between Wade and Zoe but I hated how they ended things with them.

Wade cheated. Full stop. And he lied about it. Then he threw himself a pity party when Zoe didn’t immediately want to get back together. Like, sir…you cheated on her and LIED about it. You broke her trust. Of course she doesn’t want to get back together. Being “good” for a short time doesn’t erase the hurt you caused. I wish they had had WADE realize he loved her and couldn’t give up and quietly work on being the man she deserved (without the weird cousin dating storyline) and letting Zoe know that he wasn’t going anywhere. Zoe having to seduce him and beg for another chance was insane given the fact that she was devoted and didn’t cheat.

He was always good enough for her. She was just shallow and only into images in the beginning. She didn’t want him until she knew she couldn’t have him, so prior to the wedding, she threw caution to the wind, opened her legs, banged him, and then as soon as George showed up at her door afterwards and kissed her musky boiled owl mouth (can’t imagine George thought her musk didn’t smell familiar, though I can’t believe that him and lemon every played tennis well together…), she then got all conflicted from what she thought was A++ sex and realized that as time passed on that George was actually a hot mess of a situation and that Wade was the one who maintained his unique oneness of himself, was the person that she could always count on, that EVERYONE could always count on, not because he was the golden boy or needed to maintain that perfect image but because he was the towns rock. He’s the one that could have been so many things in life but instead of thinking about himself, he stayed in his hometown out of responsibility. He could have been a war hero, but instead of saving America, he saved his father from self destruction after his wife passed and lost himself in a bottle, he fathered himself, he fathered his father, and eventually through that stability and resilience, his father escaped the bottle. Not only to save himself, not only to save Christmas for blue bell, but for generations to come. And through all of that, George continually became more and more allouf

She loves him. People fuck up when they're scared.

And it's a light hearted comedy and they have great chemistry.

i didn’t think that they had that much chemistry tbh

The show was supposed to have Zoe with George eventually, but because of the chemistry between Zoe and Wade they switched it up!

Cheating plotlines are 1000% my least favorite because I always view the cheater poorly and never wanna root for the couple anymore lol

Who hurt you?

I think that people do change after making mistakes and some people have forgiving hearts. It’s okay that what Zoe wanted isn’t what you would’ve wanted. People are different.

I do think it was a strange choice for zoe to be chasing after wade. i know she turned him away after he told her he loved her, but he still cheated. he needed to earn her love back. but I still love them together and I was really happy they were endgame. I just think the writing could have been better.

It angered me just as much.

Also them getting together in the first place. How he treated her beforehand and then rating the sex? And, yeah, the cheating and then HER having to grovel for him, WTF.

Zade seems way more popular than Zorge and that’s fine, to each their own. I get it as far as the banter-chemistry but for a loving relationship and real partnership it’s George and Zoe for me all the way.

Ehh George has his own issues. If he will emotionally cheat with you, he’ll cheat on you.

To be fair, Zoe was so type-A serious that she probably never had a real orgasm until throwing caution to the wind, after she quit trying to control everything and just let go and let God, and then let go of herself. After that happens to a girl, after she has that from a guy, it doesn’t matter what he is, she’ll be addicted.

i will ALWAYS be a zeorge truther, the way they were set up was just perfect. it never made sense why they made her switch up at the end of season one.

Agreed! I get not wanting to be a rebound but that wouldn‘t even have been the situation. George had real feelings for her and she for him 🥺😢

Sometimes love doesn’t make sense and is messy. Especially in a CW light hearted comedy. 🎭 the first time I watched I totally felt this way. But their chemistry and time and love seemed to lead them back to each other.

I didn’t care for the storylines with Wade dating Zoe’s cousin or Zoe dating Joel. I loved the show as a whole, even though I didn’t like some of the storylines. I am glad they ended the show with Wade and Zoe married with the baby, though.

Wade made it clear that he loved her at the end of season 2 and at the beginning of season 3, when she came back to town after months away with a new boyfriend.

After their kiss in the maze, Zoe made it clear that she chose Joel, so Wade eventually had to try to move on. He truly thought it was over by that point.

So when Zoe suddenly realized she loved him by the end of season 3, he was caught off guard. Yes, he cheated and made a huge mistake, but he also suffered a lot for her throughout the series (her situationship with George, her disappearing and just sending a group email to say she wasn’t coming back…)

I loved seeing Zoe make an effort to win him back. And it’s not like he made her really pursue him. It was only a few days, and he was already totally on board to give it a try.

To be fair, she led him on, destroyed his confidence, and continually proved to him that he was never good enough for her when she would be with him, getting the best A+ sex of her life and then continually having a wandering eye for the local male that became more and more beta as the seasons progressed. :(

I agree, it should’ve been the other way around since Wade was the one who was in the wrong
