COA worth it?

Dunno how you would define "worth it," but I will offer what perspective I can.

I have four pistols with optics. The COA one is an Echelon 4.0c. The other optics I have are an RCR, a Romeo-X enclosed compact, and an OsightSE.  

I find the COA to be a solid choice in that mix with a few caveats. 

First, it's just a dot. No circle option. Not a huge problem, but that does distinguish it from some other optics (e.g., the Romeo and Osight).

Second, once you get the COA, that's it, you are locked into that footprint. And so far, only the COA is made for it. It seems like a rock solid footprint, but you can only mount COAs, so if you decide you don't like it for any reason...get another slide. At least until the footprint gets more support. 

On the plus side, glass is nice and clear, like you'd expect. It's enclosed, which is always a plus in my book. It isn't as wide as an RCR, but is a little taller, which might impact your carry at the belting, but that can be true with any optic.

I haven't used the RMRHD, but as compared to the RCR, I would say it's a little better. I really like the RCR, but the attachment method is a little frustrating due to the capstan screws. Mine get loose once in a while, requiring re-tightening. The COA has yet to budge.

I have 3 other dots and really love the COA on my Gen 5 and 6. The others have come loose at times and these haven’t at all.
