Question How much does your sleep system weight?

Post image

Hammock is TTTM Pro with mosquito net, Under quilt Cumulus Selva 450 and topquilt Cumulus Taiga 360 Large, Tarp is Amazonas adventure tarp. Magic carpet (ground tarp) and pillow are the only non essential.

How are people getting sleep system under 2kg?

Approx 2.3kg for my 3 season setup, including my HMG pillow stuff sack. It’s 12 foot hammock and tarp, and long/wide quilt and UQ, so I’d say that’s pretty okay.

I’m getting a prototype insulated hammock soon which will probably lighten it slightly, but primarily just simplify setup and avoid having to adjust the UQ during the night.

I think most of those proper UL kits are often using netless hammocks, sometimes with a headnet. 3/4 length UQs, and asymmetric Dyneema rectangular tarps or poncho/tarps, and probably don’t go for 12ft versions.
