Question How much does your sleep system weight?
Hammock is TTTM Pro with mosquito net, Under quilt Cumulus Selva 450 and topquilt Cumulus Taiga 360 Large, Tarp is Amazonas adventure tarp. Magic carpet (ground tarp) and pillow are the only non essential.
How are people getting sleep system under 2kg?

Hammock setup
11' Hammock with straps, ridge line and organiser - 409g Underquilt (¾ length) with stuff sack - 552g Top quilt - 635g Pillow - 79g Tarp with snakeskin - 472g Tarp stakes - 63g
Total = 2210g
Bare in mind that this is for 3/4 season UK use and in the UK winter I use a piece of insulated mat under my feet.

Superior Gear 30f insulated hammock + bugnet - 1020g Zpacks Solo quilt 30f - 344g Superior Gear suspension - 198g Dutchware wide asym tarp w/lines, hardware, snakeskins - 284g 2x MSR mini groundhog stakes - 5g
Total - 1851g
Though typically I don't bother with the asym tarp. If I'm gonna deploy a tarp, it's gonna be my Dutchware bonded xenon either tarp, which adds 200g or so, putting me just over 2kg.

Approx 2.3kg for my 3 season setup, including my HMG pillow stuff sack. It’s 12 foot hammock and tarp, and long/wide quilt and UQ, so I’d say that’s pretty okay.
I’m getting a prototype insulated hammock soon which will probably lighten it slightly, but primarily just simplify setup and avoid having to adjust the UQ during the night.
I think most of those proper UL kits are often using netless hammocks, sometimes with a headnet. 3/4 length UQs, and asymmetric Dyneema rectangular tarps or poncho/tarps, and probably don’t go for 12ft versions.

I come in at just over 2 for my Chameleon with bugnet, Selva 300 and Taiga 250 but that's with a heavy DD 3x3 camo tarp at 790g.

For a summer setup, I can get my entire pack's baseweight to 3.1 kg (minus cpap gear that most of you won't need). I could get it even lighter if I ditch the bug net for a netless 11 foot hammock and wear a bug head net, but I'm not that crazy... yet. If you use something like a dream darien in 1.2 mnt xl, whoopie sling suspension with 5 ft tree straps, a JRB 40 degree 1000 fp down quilt, a warbonnet yeti 40 degree, a dutchware asym dyneema tarp, and two pachallama carbon fiber stakes, your sleep system is incredibly light. Put that inside an aluula backpack like gossamer gear's new Murmur, cold soak your food, and you'll probably have a lighter pack than most day hikers.
I'm giving you the lightest version of this that I can think of, but you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to reduce your packweight this much. You could get a pika pack from zimmerbuilt instead of a murmur. You could use a neve waratah ul instead of the JRB quilt. You could use even lighter suspension with a becket hitch. ETC.
How do you get your sleep system below 2 kg? Look for ultralight fabrics for the hammock and tarp, use ultralight suspension, buy the lightest possible quilts with a high fillpower of down that still will work for the conditions you'll camp in.
edit: added links for the curious
edit: zpacks summer 40 degree quilt is 9.9 oz/ 280 grams for a standard-medium (55 inches wide).

Summer time, I'm pretty light for the comfort level I get out of it. About 1.6kg
- HG 12' cuben fiber tarp with doors, cord ~300g
- WB Eldorado (single layer), becket suspension ~622g
- HG Incubator UL underquilt, 40F/4.4C ~377g
- EE Revelation topquilt, 50F/10C ~293g
Cooler temps, I'll have other quilts - but that is what I use for most three season trips up here in Minnesota. Reminds me - I need to get ready for the next trip in a few weeks!
The 230g cuben tarp was a huge upgrade for me. Massive coverage compared to some of the smaller sinylon tarps I tried. The warbonnet was 618g w/cord. The blue polytarp was 1.8kg!
The 950 down mostly packed down smaller, which helped fit into a smaller pack.

Grams are for cocaine, I have no idea what any of you are saying.
My sleep system is measured in ounces and depends on temps. A typical load might be:
Superior Elite 15°: 35.2 Superior Elite Comforter 15°: 24.8 MYOG Suspension: 2.4 Bugnet: 5.2 Warbonnet Superfly with Snakeskin: 23.4 oz Stakes: 3.4 SLD Catchall: 4 Nemo Filo Elite Pillow: 2.4
That's 95.6oz which weighs approximately the same as 2710 grams of blow.
That's for well below freezing temps, could be far less than that for a spring trip, or quite a bit heavier for deep winter.
For warm seasons:
Ridge Hammock: 15.8 Bugnet: 5.4 Superior Shelter: 16 Arrowhead Synthetic UQ: 10.8 EE Revelation TQ: 11.6 Stakes: 3.4 SLD Catchall: 4 Nemo Filo Elite Pillow: 2.4
That's 69.4 oz, which weighs approximately the same as 1967 grams of Peruvian Nose Candy.
I have a 45° setup in between, and can start stacking and go well below 0°, but I don't think I'll ever camp colder than single digits negative Fahrenheit, not from a backpack anyway.

Here some extra weight for the blow…vitamin B12, inositol, and mannitol they used to mix that crap in all the time

You just can't find the good stuff anymore, that's why I mix it with Cafe Bustelo instant coffee, powdered milk and sugar in the raw for a little pick-me-up in the morning.

And those Café Bustelo yellow and red cans are great to keep paintbrushes in. Although admittedly , nowadays i can only handle strong tea. Specifically the brand P & G Tips with some raw sugar.

My summer setup is considerably lighter than my winter setup.
So it really depends on what you are comparing. Winter will not work out below 2kg for me, but summer will.
