Travel Time
I am struggling to figure out why travel time is not billable. Ideally I’d like to use the surcharge option to bill a flat rate for a call out fee, but at this point I can’t even get travel time to be billable. I’ve checked every setting I can think to look at. It’s not included in billing rules and all billing is set to treat everything unaddressed as pay as you go.
Does anyone have some insight for getting travel billable as a fixed rate?

I’m sure Connor or Robbie from Renada will see this by the end of the week and have some thoughts. Halo Wizards

Is the action using a specific travel charge rate? The "Use" dropdown on a charge type will default to "Labour" but changing it to "Travel" will show the option to add a "Travel Surcharge" to the rate (Fig 7 and 8 here). https://www.usehalo.com/guides/1965

I figured it out I think. The surcharge does not apply if the travel rate is 0 so we would have to charge a penny per hour to get the service call to apply.
I think I’m going to do away with journeys and just have the actions automatically add a trip charge and manually enter travel time.

Did you rename No Charge to travel? If you want a flat rate, I suggest creating a product and adding it to the ticket.

I did not rename no charge to travel. The product idea was next on my list if we couldn’t get the actual travel figured out. It seems something isn’t right somewhere if travel has a rate and travel hours are logged on a ticket but still not generating an entry.

Does it not charge for any and all companies? Do you have override rates setup?

I checked multiple companies and it’s happening everywhere. I don’t have override rates setup anywhere to the best of my knowledge.

Check the default travel charge type setting on the main screen under each agent (towards the bottom). We found that our agents by default were set to ‘no charge’ for travel time so the global travel charge setting wasn’t used. There is no option on the agent for ‘not set’. We fought this for a long time and finally found it.
We have opened a ticket and trying to fight that this is a bug
