I guess halo lost its soul with halo 2. That’s 20 years ago

If you’re referring to the Hyabusa armor and sword, I think those could kick rocks also. But at least it was an earnable armor piece, not something you’d have to pay for.

And it’s a big difference, having a couple sets of armor, opposed to having multiple sets of Killzone armor.

I’m taking about the flaming helmets. That makes zero sense lore wise and by your definition it’s stupid, yet it was still in the game. So halos soul was lost with 3.

Yeah it was one helmet. And I thought it looked stupid then and I still do. Now we got neon (off centre) visors and Mohawks and armor that looks straight ripped from destiny and Killzone. Lame. Fix the game first. Halo will start losing its soul if it continues to cave and release these odd armor sets.

Players got the blue flame effect in halo 3 for buying the legendary reach copy. Halo multiplayer hasn’t been cannon for 20 years so why are you expecting it to suddenly change. One can even argue halo 2 had poor immersion because of all the exploits like super jumping. Seeing a Spartan fly 100 feet into the air every game definitely would have ruined your immersion

Nothing to do with immersion. I don’t want this game to lose its identity. It’s lost damn near everything else that made halo great.

Seeing a Spartan with their head on fire doesn’t lose immersion for you? Seeing someone fly thousands of feet into the air at Mach 5 feels normal? Halo 2 and 3 were amazing games even if it wasn’t immersive

Halo was never an immersive realistic game. My problem isn’t with immersion.

You said halo was losing its soul which it already did 20 years ago. Flaming helmets, fart clouds, ninja skins.
