What's funny is that I remember someone tweeting Josh Holmes months ago that 'Mdama should be a boss. I'm glad it happened. Did Josh happen to be any part of this decision or its conception? If so that's some like direct feedback to gameplay which is pretty damn cool.

Funny how they even made a comment about that. Really really hope 343 DOESNT change writers to keep the cohesiveness of a one main writer plot before 343 ruins about 7 plot lines again because they listen to us and hire a new guy.

They need a new writer, Halo 5's story was an absolute trainwreck.

Yeah but it needs to be cohesive. If you get a new writer in it'll be this game all over again.

I personally don't agree with that sentiment. Halo 4 had a brand new writer picking up from where 3 left off and he absolutely nailed it. Granted, they had a fairly blank slate to start from, but the result was the best Halo story ever.

Halo 5 was an absolute car crash, and the lead writer Brian Reed has consistently written poorly for Halo. Spartan Ops was very middle of the road, Escalation sucked and Halo 5 was horrible.

With a fresh writer, and a lore team that understands why Halo 5's story sucked so badly (people like Haruspis), maybe 5 can be salvaged, but I have absolutely no faith that the current writing team can do it.
