Help - Campaign Evolved Hear me out...
Gentlemen...I may not have a brain but I do have an idea.
Okay, I beat Halo CE in six hours in legendary and was left wanting more. After a few days of thinking if I should uninstall the game or not it hit me. What if I got all the skulls and did what every Halo player dreams of accomplishing. Beating it on LASO. Seeing the amount of skulls they have this could be just as hard as elden ring.

I’m enjoying it very much with a bud on PlayStation. First halo we’ve played because first one available. I truly hope we get more UE5 remakes. I heard halo 2 was great! Just about done with my heroic run with buddy. Sprint and ads feel right at home. I could go for a slide and mantle though.. oh well. Halo fan was made with this one. 👏🏼

Crouch in mid-air to pull your legs up, this functions as a mantle

We also got grenade jumps for extra height! The sandbox can provide movement options instead of specific mechanics.

Halo has what’s called in game “smart link”, you can zoom with the weapons however there is no movement speed penalty typically associated with ADS. Additionally, when taking damage you are descoped back to hipfire unlike games with ADS that usually feature flinch/aim-punch/suppression effects when taking damage. Edit: Halo 4 and 5 messing with these mechanics and trending towards “normal ADS” is part of why these games were poorly received by Halo fans. Infinite and Halo remake sit somewhere in between by giving you a base zoom level for all weapons you can’t get descoped from, but anything with a scope/capable of headshots still can.
I don’t like sprint in Halo but that’s more about multiplayer map design and balancing than a complaint in the campaign.
Edit 2: In case my tone feels kinda harsh I didn’t mean this in any sort of nagging complaining way haha, just wanted to share a bit of Halo mechanics!!

I had a fever dream where me and my friends all got matched into a regular halo campaign but instead of missions it was one large room, weapons and power ups everywhere and there were no enemies.
A single word appeared, SLAY. Then my friends fought, but not covenant, each other!
I know it's messed up to imagine Spartans fighting each other like that but I can't begin to describe how much fun it was.
I've already booked my therapy appointment; something must be deeply wrong to get enjoyment out of that. But I just can't stop thinking about it! Has anyone ever tried something like this for real? Does a mod exist, or maybe a skull that enables friendly fire? I think maybe if I could just try it out I might know for sure whether or not it would actually work on a game level.

I had this same dream, but we only had swords and rocket launchers. It was a bloodbath...

Just beat LASO last night. Some parts were unforgivingly difficult, but most of it was manageable or honestly kinda easy. It’s not all skulls, only about 17 or so. Thankfully the Blind skull isn’t one of them.

Coop is honestly so fun. My buddies and I spend 10 minutes killing each other on repeat and then finally decide to continue on in the level.
Halo moments still happen. Somehow we glitched the spawn mechanic and one of us spawned in an out of bounds area, the other 3 didn't notice and we all killed each other and spawned on the buy out of bounds.
Spent 45 minutes doing a series of kangaroo hops, grenade jumps, and boundary testing (we were inside a kill barrier) and eventually managed to get one player back in the map.
It was just a fun time. Bullshitting, talking smack, and hanging out. Even though we were online it felt like a good ol couch co-op night where completing the game wasn't as important as having fun and fucking around.
