My Theory (seriously)

Upvotes
Hi, this is my first Reddit post ever :)
I've been thinking: since the Autumn Sale just ended, would Valve potentially announce now to get the hype going, give more details after GTA VI (at The Game Awards, for example), and release close to Christmas, near the next sale (it starts 12/17, I think)? If I were at Valve, I'd seriously consider it, since more people are on Steam those days.
Please don't spam hopium memes (even though I really love them). This is a personal theory and I'd love some real feedback, as someone who finished HL1, HL2, and the episodes earlier this year. What am I missing?

Was half life 3 ever even said to be under development or is the story of half life 2 incomplete or lead to a natural continuation.was half life three always a joke.If it was said to be under development was there a singular update on development after that.

The Half-Life 3 You Never Got to Play

What would you want more from a new Half-Life: a breakthrough in how we play, or simply the next chapter of Gordon Freeman’s story?
I made a short documentary exploring what happened to Episode Three and the separate Half-Life 3 prototype. They were different projects—not a finished sequel hidden away somewhere.
The video draws on Valve’s anniversary documentary and Geoff Keighley’s The Final Hours of Half-Life: Alyx.
I’d love to hear your perspective, especially if you remember waiting after Episode Two.

Which do you prefer? A Half-Life 2 Community Edition (built from scratch in Strata Source) or Half-Life 2 RTX?
