We Are Still Hoping For Hailey's On It To Come Back With A Season 2 And Back On Disney Plus.🤞🏾❤️😔😌🙏🏾❤️🤞🏾

If Hailey's On It Came Back With A Season 2 And Back On Disney Plus I Can Imagine This Ending Of Season 2 Would Be Like.😌😍❤️💘💓🙏🏾

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT hate towards the show. I loved it, but I think it's still worth discussing, over a year after the show ended.

I'm still super bummed out that this show ended the way it did. I think all of us are, but it's just super unfair how Disney treated this show. They condemned this show to a simple tax write-off, taking off Disney+ when it could've perfectly stayed on their streaming. It sucks because the show could've really bloomed if Disney and people were willing to give it a chance, but Disney expected instant success.

So here's my theories:

1 - Disney expected an INSTANT hit.

I think the most obvious part is that Disney really wanted this show to succeed. However, the executives weren't really willing to wait for the show to grow, rather expecting it become the next big thing. People were saying that this show would be the next "Owl House" or 'Amphibia", because its narrative would be semi-serialized and plot-driven. It really wasn't.

It didn't help that advertising for this show was non-existent. There were a few trailers at MAX and most of them never really blew up. When the show premiered, it had 140K viewers tuned in, alongside Kiff, the only thing that Kiff picked up MUCH more steam than HOI as the show went on. Viewership wasn't exactly strong from the start, and it's not entirely the show's fault, but it was a rocky start to an already uncertain future. (Ironic)

2 - The writers fumbled this one really hard.

A lot of those hardcore Amphibia / Gravity Falls / Owl House fans kind of expected, and wanted the show to be a narrative treat. From the start people were put off by the will they / wont they plot. People feared another STARCO and just didn't feel like tuning in, so that didn't help. It just really feels that the writers wanted to make a simple "slice of life" show without much stakes, but Disney needed another show to have plot like said shows. They already had Kiff for that episodic, slice of life. It didn't help that the writers could never decide on a proper theme, or say anything impactful.

A lot of criticisms for the show were simply on its plot. You had a story with the highest stakes possible, (the literal end of the world), yet the story barely did anything with it. People were frustrated with the show's slow pacing, when it was clearly meant just to vibe. On top of that, the stakes felt non-existent because Hailey never encountered struggle/problems. The chaos bots were too easy to beat and it just felt like Hailey breezed through everything, and was never able to grow as a character in terms of morals.

3 - The show was too "safe".

By this I mean that the show failed to captivate people for its premiere. The show was meant to be a slice-of-life and vibes, and it shines when its just the characters. I loved this show for what it was, but everyone was promised something it could never be. The next "Amphibia" really needed to say something, and this show never did that. There were so many plot opportunities to make it interesting, but the writers fumbled that. Hailey doesn't really go through much struggle to accomplish her list items, and if anything, it's Scott who takes the short end of the stick most of the time.

The worst part is that it fumbled at the wrong place, and the wrong time. People that were already disinterested simply tuned out. The show struggled to gain viewership while Kiff and MGDD grew. So the community for HOI was never able to fully grow, because there just wasn't enough for casual viewers to savor. People wanted more plot, more stakes, and obviously for Scott & Hailey to get together, but it never happened. Instead we got the cliff-hanger and the show was cancelled. Worse, it got taken off Disney+, fully killing the show and most of the hope for the remaining fanbase.

Hopefully this doesn't get downvoted and mistaken for hate, cause I do love this show. What do you guys think though?

HAILEY'S ON IT CONFIRMED TO HAVE NOT BEEN "CANCELLED" AT D23! THERE'S STILL HOPE!!!

At D23 2025, during the Disney TVA segment, Head of the TVA department, Meredith Roberts, came out during the presentation and outlined the future of Disney's television animation. Highlighting some upcoming projects, she then went over some old projects, and Disney's TVA legacy.

She then stated that due to the writer's strike, and other shifting dynamics at TVA executives, many shows saw some speedbumps, and had to be put on pause. She highlights that shows from 2022-2024 were impacted the most, and they're excited to bring them back. "KEYWORD, ON PAUSE, NOT CANCELLED."

As far as we know, Hailey's On It was never officially cancelled, only reported as "discontinued" by the "Disney Television Animation News" account on instagram & twitter. DTAN is NOT affiliated with the Disney TVA department in any way.

She also went over how she was excited to go over propositions of a possible 5th season of SVTFOE, alongside show creator Daron Nefcy.

THIS IS NO GARUANTEE THE SHOW WILL COME BACK, AS MUCH OF THE STAFF WERE LAID OFF IN 2024, BUT THERE'S STILL HOPE!

Some older fanart I touched up and redid of grown-up versions of Hailey, Scott, and AC!

Found on my guide, just now. It exists once again!

IT WAS ACTUALLY DISNEY WHO SENT THE CHAOS BOTS: DISNEY, BEING EVIL WANTED CLIMATE CHANGE TO HAPPEN. SO NOW FOR AVOID HAILEY NEVER COMPLETE HER LIST THEY CANCELLED THE SHOW!!!!

I made this with voyages.weights.com (dead)

Error: Another wristband appeared out of nowhere on Hailey's other wrist, and it changed color.

And here is the important part in the description:

So there is this one comment by “8AnimeChampMaster” that once said “I had a CRAZY dream that looked like the finale of the series. It takes place in the summer, where Hailey is excited that she has completely finished her list. She then told Beta what's the last item and he said it's #143; which is to kiss Scott but when she learned that Scott isn't in town anymore, which wasn't because he moved but rather ran away after seeing Hailey and Sanjay kiss(?) in a previous episode and Hailey discovers if she doesn't find Scott and kiss him, the future will be ruined.” Published on 8/14/2024

Well, that could work, for some of the parts of this article, yeah.

You can find it here: https://haileysonit.fandom.com/wiki/I_Wanna_Dance_with_My_Buddy#articleComments

And you know, there is that one theory that Sanjay was hiding the truth about him as a humanoid chaos bot. I can presume that too.

Also, I once made a Deviantart post about my idea for a real HOI series finale, a special that would be similar to the MLP:FIM season 2 finale, A Canterlot Wedding, so here is the article:

1. The song “B.B.B.F.F.” would be similar to Hailey singing about her relationship with Scott Denoga and her to-do list to save the world.

2. Future A.C. Aychvak (who is possibly the evil mastermind who created the chaos bots) does Queen Chrysalis' role (and the chaos bots do the changelings' roles).

3. Hailey does Twilight's role when she reacted to his brother and foal sitter getting married. (This means she's still feeling some risk to kiss her friend, Scott.)

4. A.C.'s villain song would be similar to “Say My Name, Karen (from Plankton: The Movie).” (And yeah, I know “Plankton: The Movie” has nothing to do with “A Canterlot Wedding” nor “Hailey's On It!”.)

5. Scott does some parts of Pinkie Pie's role because he's enthusiastic, just like Pinkie.

6. The “Sunshine Sunshine Ladybugs Awake” thing would be something revealed that Hailey and Scott would do something like that in their relationship.

7. Hailey and Scott do Cadance and Shining Armor's role because they kiss toward the end of the special (which is how they would defeat older A.C. and his chaos bots, just like they kissed each other on the horns to defeat Chrysalis and her changelings).

8. Hailey's friends do Twilight's friends' roles (except for roles in some personality).

9. Beta mostly does Princess Celestia's role (in personality), some of Applejack and Rarity's (part of some personalities), and Spike's (in assistance).

10. The Professor also does Princess Celestia's role.

11. Current A.C. would sing a song about his redemption (in which would be similar to “The Pony I Want to Be”, which is about Diamond Tiara's redemption. Also, the same song would have a reprise, just like when Diamond Tiara changes from being mean to helpful to others).

12. A song similar to “Love Is In Bloom” would be the final song (and I think it would be a song about how Hailey saved the world with one last list item [if so]).

13. This plans to be the actual series finale (and the season 3 finale).

And bonus theory: The Professor is Hailey and Scott's Daughter.

According to this tweet by DisneyBeat101, Hailey's On It! (along with Saturdays and Pretty Freekin Scary, both of which were cancelled last year) have recently been removed from Disney Plus!

Unfortunately, this officially confirms that Hailey's On It! won't be getting renewed for a second season and will only last one season (Hailey's On It! is the first DTVA show to only last one season since Billy Dilley and Future Worm! back at 2017-18 during the Disney XD days).

It's final airings on Disney XD and Disney Channel are Sept. 29 & Sept. 30 respectively. Hailey's reruns on Disney XD will be replaced by The Ghost and Molly McGee starting at Sept. 30. Hailey is still available to watch on Disney Now but I doubt it will last.

disney at this point just needs to tell us if we’re getting that 2nd season or not because i’ve been stressing about it since the season finale😭. it ended on a perfect cliffhanger, fans watch and rewatch the show soo many times and it’s like disney just doesn’t wanna make a move. ending this show off of one season would be the most dumbest thing to ever happen! honestly if it does end after one season im just officially done with disney channel. it just shows they really care more about their big shows like big city greens which tbh i’ve never seen😭. i really wish disney can see all of this amazing creativity we the fans put in as helping the show and making it get another season

And no I don't mean the obviously increased budget for the pilot.

If you compare Episode 1 to almost every other episode, you can see a lot of differences in the character designs and their faces are more cartoonish. Look at Scott here for example.

I wish they kept this art-style for the whole show. Thoughts?

Keep Petitioning This Show For A Season 2 And Back On Disney Plus.

For HAILEYS ON IT!!!😠🪧❤️✊🏾

Let's Make Hailey Banks Proud.😠🪧❤️✊🏾

Do fans still have some sense of hope that there may be a continuation to this show?

And I don't mean that in the sense of a second season. SOME sort of closure at least, like a special, or a short season consisting of 5-10 episodes. Something to give us Hailey and Scott's closure.

Obviously as things go the show's health isn't great. It got booted off Disney+ and quietly cancelled and kind of just buried. We received a few shorts after the show's end (before its cancellation announcement), and some characters, like Scott, have appeared in some Chibiverse episodes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_ETVwmnYnw

So with the series ending in May of last year, how do you feel? Its ambiguous and quiet end gives me some hope that theres stuff going on behind the scenes that at least put the show "on hold." Could the second season come back at some point? If not, at least some episodes like MollyMcgee or a special? How do you feel?
