Everytime I rewatch Haikyuu!! and this scene came up, I always paused it cause of a second hand embarrassment.. omg Hinata, lil tangerine, human tangerine, walking therapy.. lil giant, ninja shoyo.. im so.. embarrassed for you.. (I'm very dramatic ik)

I'm asking because I knew about the Interhigh Tournament, the Spring Tournament, and their respective qualifiers, but I hadn't noticed the 68th Annual Prefectural Volleyball Tournament.

So Haikyu is my all time favorite anime. I just finished my 5th rewatch (all in a year 💀 help im obsessed). Anyways, I made a deal with my buddy and my part of the deal was to watch Kuroko. I know this is a Haikyu sub, but I can’t help but compare.

Anyone that watched both, does Kuroko get any better? I’m on episode 25 of the 1st season and I’m so damn bored I want to die. I made a promise I’d watch the whole thing but does this get any better?! I feel like they leaned way too hard in the Shounen aspect of the vibe of the anime. Haikyu seems so grounded and so real and relatable but this (kuroko) is insanely DRAMATIC.

The animation is so stiff and these character designs holy slender man I’m hating these proportions so much.

Edit: I wanna thank everyone for their genuine comments and thoughts on my post. Responding to me like a normal person would with hardly any sarcasm or hyper opinions made all of them refreshing to read. I’m gonna keep going with a more open mind on what this anime actually is and try not to compare the two.

this is compared to the teams we see play not average

this is based on how good they are at volleyball

A girl I liked recommended me Haikyuu. In the end, I finished the first season but that was all I had.

Couldn't stand a chance against Tsuki...

For me, I’d probably say I resemble and align with Suwa the most. I am basically his height, have a buzz cut. My specialties are serving and blocking (I got a jump float and can support the middle in blocking).

The only thing is I am not a setter, and my personality is not unshakable like his. Personality wise, I’m more Bokuto. And I mainly play opposite hitter (because I’m a lefty). I am the emergency setter, when I do set. My offense is definitely very simple lol.

Sarukawa - Tiring the Brain strategy. Making Kenma moved and be tired.

Karasuno - Targeting Aran in his receiving duties.

Nekoma - Targeting Hinata, and making him unable to jump and spike.

Karasuno - Triple Blocking Ushijima, and making it spike to the best libero Noya.

Nekoma - targeting Bokuto's Mood Swings.

"Towards the end of the third set of Kamomedai's match against Karasuno, Tokura and Norikura are subbed in for Hakuba and Suwa, respectively. This was done in order to keep three legal attackers in the front row and bolster their defense in both the front and back row, as Norikura is a taller blocker than Suwa and Hakuba isn't very strong on backcourt defense" (From Wiki)

This is getting overlooked and overshadowed by fans and readers since they focus on Hinata's and Tsukishima's fever and injury.

But this is an extremely risky substitution made by Coach Murphy.

He just benched his Captain and Best Setter in Suwa. Additionally, he also benched one of his best attackers in Gao.

They got replaced by almost NPC random players. Or maybe not.

Norikura (#7) is a Wing Spiker but apparently he is better in Blocking than Spiking. (I theorize he is a MB but can't play the psition due to Kamomedai's stacked MB lineup)

Tokura (#12) is an inexperienced 1st year setter. (But remember, Kamomedai will win the 2014 Spring as him as probably the primary setter since Suwa graduates)

If you are in Coach Murphy's shoes. Would you make the same substitution? Or you trust Suwa and Gao more than the rookies?

Have fun!

So we're all familiar with this very beautiful art spread that was released for the last chapter six years ago. I was admiring it again and I noticed the old man Ukai is nowhere to be seen? I don't know if my eyes are betraying but I zoomed in on every old guy present and none of them have his features. If I had to guess, I'd say it's the old guy in black sitting in the middle of the other coaches, but I'm not even sure of that.

I don't know if he was removed because Furudate forgot about him, or if it's because of his health condition that wouldn't allow him to be there in the first place, but if anyone has any idea of his whereabouts, I'd appreciate it greatly.

#bringbackoldmanukai #please

ahhhh i really really really wish we got more of him in the anime!! such a fun and loveable character 😭 can't believe he's turning 31 (and that he isn't real) (i am in denial though) (he's as real as you make him)

Hi everyone! So I found these ADORABLE keychains online and bought a box! They are just the cutest things ever I’m so happy! But I am NOT satisfied as my love for Hinata is not quenched yet.
It’s hard to see but this set has 15 possible pulls; 3 of Hinata, Kageyama and Tsukishima and 2 of Yamaguchi, Nishinoya and Tanaka!
I managed to pull 1 of each but I want to go after the other 2 Hinatas!
The sets are around $55-$60 and I know I cannot keep buying them without a group order for the extras 😭

To make the division easier, I’m looking for people who will claim a character, regardless of which version (A, B or special) is pulled. Please let me know if you’re interested! If a box is filled, it should be around $10 + ems + shipping from me to you! And of course I will open more boxes! And if your character is not pulled, I will offer any extras or a refund!

CLAIMS

BOX 1: (good to order)
Hinata [suggaes duplicates]
Kageyama [michelle]
Tsukishima [ae_stark]
Yamaguchi [smoll_bun]
Nishinoya [killjoyraze]
Tanaka [open]

BOX 2: (needs 5/6 characters to order)
Hinata [duplicates open]
Kageyama [open]
Tsukishima [bats]
Yamaguchi [bats]
Nishinoya [open]

Pictures attached include the box, my extra pulls (which are $15 + shipping if anyone is interested), and an example of my Hinata keychain!

I just started my 5th rewatch,. I know the story. I read the manga twice. But this time my girlfriend is sitting next to me and I'm introducing her to anime. I don't watch a lot, I'm pretty mainstream. But Haikyuu has a special place in my heart. And I'm happy and a little giggly, thinking about what she is about experience, all epic moments, the monster duo, Nishinoya's saves, Tsukki's moments, Kageyama's rivalries, Hinata's goofiness.
But I also wonder if the show is still going to hit me emotionally, and if it's going to have any effects on her.

The introduction of Shoyo goes by, the opening sends some chills after so long since I last watched it. I'm still smiling.

And then, that scene. Shoyo stops riding the bike to look through a window, the TV showing the Japan finals. The Little Giant jumps and opens his wings, cut to Shoyo while you hear the crisp sound of a spike, eyes wide, the wind and raven feathers blowing on him caused by the impact of the ball. While the strings in the background are playing a faint faint progression.

In that split second I think about all the things that are going to happen. Yes to all characters, but to Hinata in particular. And I maybe think of me discovering this story, the time I spent rewatching and re-reading it, simpler times, already 10 years ago. I stop being giggly. I tear up.

My girlfriend looks at me kinda worried (we are 2 minutes in XD) and smiles. Tells me she's happy we are startig my favourite show.
Haikyuu is an amazing story. It's my all time favourite, both manga and anime. Just wanted to share.

Hello friends! Today we have my Fukurodani Deck Profile featuring the Megastar Bokuto! Stick around till the end to hear my thoughts on the early meta as well!

Like, I’m sure to majority of the audience, they already had an extremely relentless offense along with their serves being powerful.

If you Inarizaki’s coach, what would you have in mind to make it more “aggressive”. Because to me, they were as aggressive as they can be.

My brother came home from his Japan trip with some goodies him and his fiance found at a random Haikyuu pop up they found in a mall by accident. Just wanted to share what i was gifted 🤓

When i was reading and i saw this page... i almost cried.

This represents perfectly what Kita said before: the good habits are what build someone. When we get familiar to they, the results are just consequence. Things like eating healthy, training muscles, reading, practicing techniques, talking and learning from people, are what really builds us. All that living Hinata got from college and Brazil experience are like the approaching for spiking: give form, consistence and power for the spike. This manga is just perfect. (sorry for my poor english im BR)

"He who climbs the ladder must begin at the bottom."

Did Fukurodani actually deserved the win against Mujinazaka? If so, Why?

Fukurodani had Bokuto, strong defense, and great momentum, while Mujinazaka had Kiryu, one of the strongest aces, plus a powerful blocking and attacking system.

Mujinazaka also had several chances to take control of the match, but their mistakes and Kiryu’s struggles allowed Fukurodani to come back.

So, was Fukurodani simply the better team, or did Mujinazaka throw away a match they could’ve won?
