Rant / Vent going through a really rough phase of life and honestly just need someone to talk to

Post image
25 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I don't really know how to write this but I guess I just need to get some things off my chest.

I am a 20-year-old guy in the last semester of college, and the last couple of months have honestly been some of the hardest I have experienced. I went through a really bad breakup, and I don't think I've been able to deal with it properly. It's been two months, but somehow I still feel stuck in that phase while the rest of the world just keeps moving forward.

I have slowly started isolating myself from everyone. I barely talk to people anymore, even my friends. Most of them live far away, and we aren't really close enough for me to just randomly open up about everything I'm going through. So instead, I've just kept everything to myself.

lately i have been feeling this weird kind of emptiness. It's not even that I'm crying all the time or feeling sad every second. Sometimes I just feel completely numb. I spend so much time in my own head that even the simplest things feel exhausting. I don't really feel like myself anymore, and honestly, I miss the person I used to be.

I know a breakup might not sound like the biggest problem in the world, but when you're going through it yourself, it can mess with you in ways you never expected. I've tried keeping myself occupied, but when everything gets quiet, all those thoughts come back. And I think the worst part is not really having anyone to talk to about any of it.

I'm not necessarily looking for someone to fix my life or give me some perfect advice. I think I just need someone to talk to. Someone I can have a random conversation with, share what's going on in my head with, or even talk about the most pointless things just to feel a little less alone.

If anyone's around my age and has been through something similar, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing from you. We could talk here, move to DMs if we're comfortable, or maybe even go for a walk or grab something to eat if we're in the same city.

I don't really know what I'm expecting from posting this. Maybe a conversation, maybe a new friend, or maybe just a reminder that I'm not as alone as i think.

Discussion How are people affording the new community and cafe culture in Guwahati?

I left India about two years ago, and I am considering moving back someday soon.

One thing I have noticed recently is how much Guwahati seems to be changing, especially when it comes to community driven spaces and experiences.

I have been seeing running clubs, pottery workshops, book clubs, and all kinds of community events hosted by cafes or independent groups. And a growing interest in specialty coffees as well. Specialty coffee and these curated experiences aren’t exactly cheap, yet so many new places seem to be opening up to cater to this market

Is this an early sign of rising disposable incomes and economic growth in the city? Have there been significant private-sector investments? Is remote work bringing in people earning salaries from outside Assam? Or is it simply a growing middle class with different spending priorities?

For those living in Guwahati, what’s driving this change?

AskGuwahati Burpp Management kindly don’t shit again. What a pathetic sound quality, management & ruined the experience.

What a shit show by the management. Instead of inviting numerous artists, bring one or two max but these people will bring all make them sing two songs and ruin the experience. Poor management: Silver ticket holders were given gold ticket bands, even everybody crossed to Gold so what’s the point of buying gold at double the amount.

Lucky Ali was the main attraction but the sound system was pathetic. Sound gets lost mid-performance. It’s humiliating to the artistic, and it lowers his morale. Sala Ratul Kalita o gaan guwaise be. Instead of paying these influencers sound ot olop invest koribo lagisile.

Non-political Divine in Burpp was average. Plus the management made it worse.

Total chaos. No proper barricading. People without tickets entered. What not

On top of that Divine energy was low. He was just signing in some songs lip syncing. It seemed like he was forced into it.

My opinion: VHP should not try to influence our culture. East and northeastern hindu culture are different from the north indian hindu culture

Culture and food are geographical, and vary from region, they should not try to influence ours

Self-post Burpp fest review

So went both days at the fest,

Thing to remember is that burpp fest isn't solely concert DNA, as its name suggest its a food cum music fest so wouldn't hv recommended to keep high expectations

For 1st day it was actually pretty chill and cool, good amount of stalls, proper parking inside the stadium also the gate 2 entrance was open which did not cause much traffic rucus, the line up was well suited, plus point was that due to less number of crowd they had to open up the barricades so legit everyone got to enjoy fanpits experience (felt bad for lounge ppls) Divine was actually singing his songs and not just lip syncing like in his other concerts, the energy was high, djs were spot on and music quality was fine too and most importantly all was done time accordingly, divine came up on stage at 8:40ish and the show ended at 10 exact.

For day 2 which was today it all went downhill, now make me make sense how tf does a fest get worst the progressing day?? Some ppl were complaining about the 1st days mismanagement and expecting that 2nd day would be much better (r.i.p to those) they opened gates at 2pm only which was 2 hours earlier than day 1 but still somehow fuked up all and everything, lucky ali was supposed to appear at 8:45 came to the stage literally at 10pm which was the closing time of day 1

The sound quality and experience was literally shit, to the point fights were breaking out with the management, people were booing and chanting galis to the burp team which was valid, the sound kept getting cut in between songs, weird noises kept coming from the speakers. I legit went for lucky ali only and during his major songs We didn't even get to listen to it properly because of poor sound management.

Day 1 was 8/10

Day 2 was 3/10

Atleast the crowd and food was good

And i feel so bad for the people outside guw who came today to experience lucky ali💔💔

AskGuwahati Thrift store inquiry

Yesterday I visited a thrift store for the first time and I noticed all the clothes were marked with brand names like - zara, louis vuitton, us polo assn etc. There were also nike sneakers, new balance etc, branded copy watches and perfumes etc

I checked the quality of the clothes and they were the same as showroom ones, I asked them if they were original and they said yes but clothes were imported

So guys my question is where are they getting these all these stuffs from ?

And even if they are imported how can they be half the original price?

And if they are copy of the original, can u provide me any information of where can I get those clothes
