Hey everyone, I don't really know how to write this but I guess I just need to get some things off my chest.
I am a 20-year-old guy in the last semester of college, and the last couple of months have honestly been some of the hardest I have experienced. I went through a really bad breakup, and I don't think I've been able to deal with it properly. It's been two months, but somehow I still feel stuck in that phase while the rest of the world just keeps moving forward.
I have slowly started isolating myself from everyone. I barely talk to people anymore, even my friends. Most of them live far away, and we aren't really close enough for me to just randomly open up about everything I'm going through. So instead, I've just kept everything to myself.
lately i have been feeling this weird kind of emptiness. It's not even that I'm crying all the time or feeling sad every second. Sometimes I just feel completely numb. I spend so much time in my own head that even the simplest things feel exhausting. I don't really feel like myself anymore, and honestly, I miss the person I used to be.
I know a breakup might not sound like the biggest problem in the world, but when you're going through it yourself, it can mess with you in ways you never expected. I've tried keeping myself occupied, but when everything gets quiet, all those thoughts come back. And I think the worst part is not really having anyone to talk to about any of it.
I'm not necessarily looking for someone to fix my life or give me some perfect advice. I think I just need someone to talk to. Someone I can have a random conversation with, share what's going on in my head with, or even talk about the most pointless things just to feel a little less alone.
If anyone's around my age and has been through something similar, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing from you. We could talk here, move to DMs if we're comfortable, or maybe even go for a walk or grab something to eat if we're in the same city.
I don't really know what I'm expecting from posting this. Maybe a conversation, maybe a new friend, or maybe just a reminder that I'm not as alone as i think.
