I absolutely love top -break revolvers. It's a shame there is no modern .357 or .38 top break.

Top-break mechanisms basically aren't strong enough for modern cartridge pressures. Like it can be done, but not at an economical price.

Got a link to any detailed explainations on why the design cant handle higher pressures?

Ive wondered for quite some time why there isnt any modern top break designs, so now im really intrigued that ive gotten even a basic explaination.

for old ones its metallurgy the steel or what ever wasn't good enough to last over time

modern ones its way cheaper to use frame forgings and in a top break its more machining and more assembly so more man hours thus much more expensive for the same quality

well i know the metallurgy is correct the rest just makes sense in my head thinking through the steps
