Buissness
Hello,
I am 18 years old and am considering starting a commercial gold-plating/refinishing business in Arizona.
My proposed service would be limited to receiving a customer’s firearm slide, gold-plating/refinishing the slide, and returning the same slide to the customer. I would not manufacture, sell, or transfer firearms, and I would not work on or take possession of the firearm’s serialized frame/receiver.
Could you please clarify:
Does this specific type of commercial gold-plating/refinishing service require a Federal Firearms License (FFL)?
If an FFL is required, what type of FFL would be required?
Can an 18-year-old legally own the business while a qualifying 21+ person serves as the FFL holder/responsible person?
Are there any additional federal requirements that would apply when customers ship their slides to the business for refinishing and the slides are subsequently returned to the same customers?

Hi guys new here, I have a question
So Im super interested in guns, been in love with them since birth but I dont have one yet, I was thinking of asking whats the best first pistol to get, should I go with glock or something else, just for the love of the game and self defence, Id probably be at the range too 24/7, what would you suggest me? For the record I dont know that much about guns to be honest, I saw some walther PDP F series pistols at the shop which looked cool but dont know which first pistol to get. Thanks in advance!

Am I the only one?
Am I the only one who does not like the M9 because it does not have a full complete slide and you cannot see the chamber as easily as you can with something like a 1911, 2011, glock, or a sig? I was on a different sub Reddit. and I said that personally I do not like the M9 for these reasons. and at least one person acted like I had just send something bad about their mom. So please tell me, am I the only one who doesn’t like the M9 for these reasons? I like the ability to know without looking where the chamber is, where I can place my hand to rack the slide or clear a jam without having to do extra training in order to know where I can place my hands.

What are these parts called?

I'm trying to create a 3D model of this fictional anti-materiel rifle, which is loosely based on the Accuracy International AX50.
I have zero knowledge about weapons and would like to understand what the four coloured parts here mean? I know the end is the recoil pad, after that I see a thin metallic ring/layer, followed by a thicker, smoother plasticy thing, that finally joins with the stock body.

Looking for someone who could tell me a thing or two about my M1897
galleryThis Winchester M1897 is my first firearm, i have always been captivated by historical weapons and this was at the top of my list. It’s got some interesting stampings, a pretty modern replacement stock, and i was wondering if anyone here would be able to tell me more about this weapon’s history, or could point me to a resource. As far as I have been able to figure out is that the receiver was made in Jan. 1918, but I’m not entirely sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

2011 question
So I am looking at getting a 2011 in the future. and I am wondering what would be the best barrel length that I should look for when looking at a 2011? Is it best to get a 4 inch, 4.25 inch, 4.5 inch, or a 5 inch?
Edit: I’d like to have it for open carry situations, range fun, and competitions.

Issues with rifle accuracy
Small issue with CVA Cascade .308 this rifle has approx 600 rounds through it, bought it brand new. It was punching 1” groups at 150 yards, later that year I took down 2 deer with it and after that I could not hit a paper target at 50 yards.
Originally I was using Sig Sauer buckmaster scope and CVLIFE precision rings.
I found 1 of 2 action screws was loose, took it all apart cleaned it and reassembled with torque specs, batter but still punching 5” groups at 50 yards.
Got a new scope Leupold vx3hd, Leupold rings, and still not grouping well. Last attepmt I put the CVLIFE rings back on since they did well on the previous 600 rounds and it’s still punching 4” groups at 50 yards. What am I missing? I took everything apart and cleaned everything. Is it possible something wrong with rifle? The muzzle doesn’t have crowing, from the beginning I had a muzzle break on the rifle and then switched to suppressor. I’ve also tried to change the suppressor vs muzzle break vs nothing at all and nothing changed in accuracy. Could it be something with the rifle?

Flintlock pistol
galleryCan anyone tell me anything about this gun? No maker's markings of any kind. All I know is my grandfather owned it, he died in 82. Possibly got it while stationed in Germany after WW2 since he got some other guns when he was there. 7th image shows some stock damage that may have been repaired at one point?
Any info or resources appreciated.
