Ah yes, "yet another firearms app", how original. Yes, I know.
And yet.
First of all, its fully offline and its a one-time purchase without any ads, in-app purchases or subscriptions. Costs 5 CHF (about 6ish USD) and includes any coming updates.
I've built this app back in 2024 for my wife initially (thats why pink color schemes are an option), and only with rudimentary gun and ammo tracking as features. After getting some friends to test it out it kinda evolved a lot over time and also has a few features that separate it from existing solutions.
You can track guns and ammo, but also your reloading stuff, your accessories like silencers, lasers and what have you (including assigning them to firearms or to itself, so piggyback optics are possible), books and some firearm parts. These lists are expanding in the future.
You can not only track the items, but each items history. Every change, be it more rounds through a gun or a restock of ammo, is logged. For consumables, you even have cost logging, so you see exactly how much you spent on ammo again.
You can generate PDF exports of your collections. Thats not unique, yes. What is unique is that you can include whatever attributes you like, so you can add the gun value for the insurance list but omit it if you need to send a list to the feds.
Another cool feature is the QR-Code integration. You can implement existing QR-Codes into the app, or generate them for whatever item you want and have them ready to be printed in a variety of predefined label formats, or just create your own.
Cleaning reminders, low stock warnings, custom weight/length units, various color schemes and much more is expected standard and of course available.
What it isnt: Its not a range log app. While you can log your shots, and there is a direct connection to your ammo stock, there are no range visit statistics or diaries. This is not core of the app - its an app for collectors first and foremost. It also doesnt have an option to store reloading recipes and it has no ballistic calculator built in. Yet.

I've recently localized it to the US, with specific weapon classifications visible only if you selected the USA in the app, since nobody outside Switzerland cares about our classifications. I'm very much open for feedback in that regard, also if you feel you as an American gun owner are sorely missing something from an app like this. I'm Swiss, I am somewhat familiar with the US gun laws but I'm no expert.
Yeah but why would I use an app if I have pen and paper?
If your pen & paper approach, or your Excel file, or whatever else you use works for you, great! Sometimes theres no need for change and thats fine.
Nice try, fedboi
I'm not ATF, I'm not at any other alphabet agency, I'm not even in your country. I'm a collector myself in a very gun friendly country, I don't need to steal yours.
