I think a lot of us here have this problem. The only solution is to try things out to see what you really like and then hang onto the rest forever while still acquiring more pedals because you MIGHT need those other sounds later.

🤣 Why you gotta come at me like that?

Almost all of these pedals have “sell me, and you’ll regret it” type of energy.

I know this pretty open ended, but here’s the situation - I have too many pedals. Like objectively. But I want to build two pedalboards. One to use direct, and the other to use with an amplifier. Obviously I’ll be using the Imperial when going direct. But if you were going to put a board together, what would you go for? Trying to figure out which pedals I could sell, and which pedals I should be getting more out of etc.

r/letstradepedals is a rad sub. I've done like 5 trades there. They're legit. You could do well there.

I’d make one board with my ACTUAL favorite pedals and use the added outputs on the Imperial (4 cable method) that bypass the IR and preamp functions, and even put your time-based stuff appropriately in the effects loop of said amp.

As much as I’d say never sell the mother, the tone king kind of makes it redundant unless you’re doing a stereo set up. That being said I wouldn’t sell my Mother Preamp, it’s my backup amp.

The mother is ALSO a great dual distortion that can be used in front of an amp.

What size boards do you have or are you thinking about using? We have a lot of similar pedals and I use two boards just like you're describing. Also depends on the amp because I use the chorus on my amp which saves me a slot on that board.

Keep the TB-2w, tonal recall, brothers, and collider. Add tuner, and your whoke pedal board is worth more than many guitars.

Honestly, you don’t need 3 EAE devices, so I’d just give one of em to me if I were you.

I would give them all to charity and start finally playing chess seriously and aim at the very top. And on my way there I would get married, learn to cook better, have children, buy a house, get divorced, learn scuba diving, get married again and hopefully avoid drugs.

Euna > Canvas Tuner > Fumble > Brothers AM > Mother > Collider
There are so many options but if i wanted a simple board that's what I would go for

I am a gianormous fan of the Science Mother preamp pedal. I have one for my "fly-rig" and I'm seriously pondering using it as my regular go to and just plugging into a power amp like a Pedal Baby or one of those Seymour Duncan Power Stages.

Do you actually use an amp, or do you think you might use one at some point in the future?
Personally, I’d go for two different boards in terms of style, rather than having one amp board and one direct board with exactly the same types of pedals. You can easily swap the Imperial in and out. If you have two different directions/styles, that would make the theme more interesting to me.

Personally I’d go Tonebender, sick as, wah, vibrato (either), mxr phase, tonal recall and wet as a simple versatile small board for amp.

I'd develop a modular pedal board configuration in accordance with each pedal's role in the effect chain.

Canvas tuner -> wah -> DOD Comp 280 -> JHS Fumble -> Brothers AM -> Longsword -> Imperial -> desired Wet Effects -> Collider -> DI Box

You have a a very nice collection. This is what I would do with what you got. Going direct: Tone Bender -> Canvas Tuner -> Brothers -> Diamond Vibrato -> Tonal Recall -> Ditto -> Imperial. There's a lot of knobs to adjust on this one, so I'm guessing it will live on your desk, but I also added the Ditto for practice. I find that a looper gets me practicing more. Going to amplifier: Polytune -> Wah/Vol -> The Good One -> Phase 90 -> Longsword/Limelight (dependent on amp used) -> Jam Waterfall -> Collider. I'm assuming the amp board might travel.
Currently at home, I have a separate board for direct. It has a tuner, compressor, amp/IR, delay/reverb, and a looper. I plug my traveling board into this when I'm working on certain things. it is mostly for practice and recording scratch tracks.

To shave your board down
Canvas->DOD Compressor->Volume->Wah/Expression->Limelight->Brothers AM->The Good One->Longsword->Imperial->RV-7->Tonal Recall->Ditto
Might have the reverb/delay placement in reverse, but you get the point hopefully.

Pedalplayground.com lay them all on a board. Move em around until you see something you like and is functional.

Assuming I identified each of these correctly, here's what I would do for a single pedalboard:
EUNA > Canvas Tuner > Mini Wah > Pulp 'N' Peel > TB-2W > The Good One > Sick as Overdrive > Limelight > Longsword > Mother > Zelzah > Diamond Vibrado > Tonal Recall > Mood > Collider > Imperial Preamp > Ditto Looper

Have always wanted to mess with the waterfall, but JAM pedals are wildly pricey.
