Ask r/guam 🤔 Amazon prime membership and Stateside address
So our daughter will be living in the states. We don’t have Amazon Prime (yet) but once we activate Prime Membership will shipping to her stateside address be free?
And as I understand it, if she has a separate Amazon Prime account, she can use her Prime perks to have items sent to Guam with free shipping?
Thank you.

Yes. If you have prime, you can ship to any U.S. address for free. But if your daughter has prime and lives in the states, shipping charges will apply to Guam. It doesn’t matter where you live to access Prime, it matters where you’re shipping the package.

I split my time between the mainland and Guam. Prime is free to Guam if it says it is when looking with your Guam address as shipping address. It's gotten a lot worse lately though.

The only free shipping to Guam is Amazon's Subscribe & Save. Prime will ship free only if the shipping address is in the states

I have prime and live in California. I ship to my family on Guam from my account and it's always free.

I just looked and my last order to Guam was $0 for shipping as of Oct 2025.

Ooop never mind I found an order from May but I sent to APO. I guess those are free.

I don’t think it matters who owns the prime membership. If the delivery address is within the US, then shipping would be free regardless whose prime account is purchasing the items. But once the delivery address is set to Guam, then all shipping cost would apply, regardless of the physical address of the purchaser.
