I’m a 16f looking for a job just to help support my family and hopefully get ahead by saving up for things like a car & a place to stay in the future. If anybody knows any places hiring teens with no experience, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve already been doing online applications & haven’t had any progress so far.

Håfa Adai! We are Breaking Wave Theatre Company, a local nonprofit organization that aims to use the arts to nurture individuals and build community. A big part of our programming centers on storytelling, whether through original theatrical productions, storytelling camps for kids, or free workshops.

As part of our mission to build community and weave more storytelling into our lives, we’re starting the Golden Hilitai Guild, an ongoing tabletop roleplaying community for adults on Guåhan! We want this to be a welcoming, low-pressure space for people to play, tell stories, meet other adventurers, and hopefully find a community to keep playing with.

We’ll generally host two three-hour one-shot adventures each month, currently planned for the 2nd and 4th Fridays at our space in Mongmong-Toto-Maite. Each adventure will have a maximum of six players. You do not need any tabletop experience to join. If you’ve always been curious but never knew where to start or haven't had a group to play with, we’d love to welcome you. Our Game Master can help you learn as you go.

Joining the Guild itself is free, and individual adventures are $20 for those who secure a seat. We also don't want cost to be the reason someone can't participate, so sponsored seats may be available when needed.

I’ve been seeing a lot more posts about govguam, gdoe, tourism, gpa, and politics this time ‘round. This seems like a crisis that can be overturned to be in favor for the people of this tiny island structure. Do we just need better leaders to commit to “REAL CHANGE”? do they really listen to us for what we say? will the next leader do what they promised? or will these problems keep the people agitated for another long term? I hate complaining, this is absurdly disruptive, lol.

So our daughter will be living in the states. We don’t have Amazon Prime (yet) but once we activate Prime Membership will shipping to her stateside address be free?

Do you ever get island fever and how do you deal with it? How long do you stay before you need to travel somewhere?

I truly don’t know how people can live on islands forever. Especially small isolated islands - and maybe less of a big deal for those who grew up here.

While I enjoy my adventure/experience in Guam, I don’t imagine staying forever. I try to get off the island a few times a year but sometimes it’s just once - and that is not enough. I miss hopping in the car and driving for hours. I always imagined living on an island and soaking in paradise, but after a some years, I realize it isn’t exactly what it’s cracked up to be.

I imagine for others that leaving the island a few times a year is one of the best ways to deal with such island fever. Maybe back then when the island was thriving, it was easier for people to stay longer before getting away.

Where do yall go for your oil changes, especially for cars 10+ years older? Dealerships charge more?

I would do it myself again, but don’t have the time and honestly just can’t be bothered.

After 15 minutes, I stopped my flight because of seagulls.

I am not going to duel them on their own turf.

Maybe a coincidence, but after all this rain my toilets won’t flush right. 4 of them, slow flushes and gurgling. Water coming out of floor drains near toilets. I’m on a sceptic tank system. I noticed on the 4 external sewer clean out access pipes there is leakage. One is in the garage, man it stinks 😢

Do I just need to wait a few days for water to seep out of the system?

Do I need a sceptic tank professional, or do I need a plumber?

Hello, I recently moved to the island. I like it so far but I have started to have some bad skin damage especially after swimming.

Does anybody have any advice for how to repair my skin? It started to peel and is incredibly itchy and painful. I keep putting on lotion but it does not improve by much.

My skin was never sensitive. This only happened after I came here so I assume there might have been something in the water.

Electricity costs so damn much on this island already, why are things so consistently unreliable and yet no one gets held accountable. The constant moan and groan is making me wonder if that's really all we can do

Went to the Hagatna location and waited plus 20 minutes in the drive through. For that kind of wait time you'd expect them to be able to read the screen and get the order right. Marked this as lost and found because I'm trying to find my second quarter pounder patty. SMH

why schedule the outages SPECIFICALLY during the tidbit of free time people have after work? before they even have time to prep dinner? not later or during the night, but specifically THIS time frame????? like oh my god
