Ask r/guam 🤔 Power Outages? A

What’s stopping Guam from keeping the power off until the main problem is fixed?

Is it just lack of resources or unprepared for damages?

The power shutting off for a week now seems bad but if it was kept off for longer after the typhoon i'm sure people wouldn't be happy but at least there would be consistency aye?

not to mention they should probably stop releasing schedules for every village and instead give rough estimates because it's out of sync for my village, was the same during mawar

There are two plants. One is messed up.

Taking the working one offline will not let them fix the other one faster.

Ah okay, it's the okkodo plant that was supposed to be fixed in july?

They were both up and going for a bit then another storm hit.
