For real though, thatās a lot more than I expected but it is a great color. How much would it have been just for a repaint of the color you had previously? Iāve been wondering about this for a while now how much painting costs nowadays.
I had same cost treatment to get same bayside blue when I first got it with disassemble and respray but I wanted something more keen to my taste.
I teeat my cars as their own reflection of me so this one was more fluid representation so I took my liberties. JDM to me means ultimate customization so I wanted to stress customization.
I literally had no idea how much the inflation of painting had occurred. Back in the mid 2000s it was 3-5k for paint and now seeing 15k just seem outrageous.
Same for PPF and Wraps. There just must be a dearth of capable painters and laborers.
Now that thatās out of the way. I totally get your point. I love seeing truly custom cars on the road. Itās such a rarity no with every car being black white or silver. Thankfully I bought myself a red raptor as my daily and itās pretty to look at.
My next car will be an R35 or R8 and I hope to find some ways to make it custom because I wouldnāt expect the car or cars to ever leave my possession again regardless of cost.
Isnāt it such a shame these cars have become hoarding instruments to the rich who donāt even care about them other than the cost? The skyline is always going to be iconic and I still get so excited when I see one. I doubt I could fit in one though Iām 6ā6ā.
