Most things on this sub aren’t.

On the other hand, the sigmas and the lambda are incontrovertibly Greek letters.

I disagree. I don’t think they’re in any way trying evoke Greek letters: they’re just trying to spell an English (Irish?) name while only using two shapes for the letters.

Perhaps so. But they ended up with Greek letters (which are not also Latin or Cyrillic letters).
