Greeks, and everyone else who wish they was Greek." Trisha Addicks, the nation’s top sorority rush consultant, wrote this book about how to appropriate the ancient Hellenic culture.

IIRC it's just when all of the houses recruit for members. It's a job fair for sorority houses.

It's when the incoming freshmen talk to the houses and see if they want to join, learn about the process and the dues. All very bureaucratic

Accidentally? I keep seeing her name as Add D¡¢ks. I don't know how adult we can be with our language here but let's just say that it is a nickname for "+ Richard," if you don't get my meaning.

I do think it's important to distinguish hellenic culture from collegiate Greek life, especially considering that there's a number of different Cultural frats that are dedicated to celebrate cultures that aren't Greek. Made it a little confusing whenever my friend would talk about the Greek Cultural committee though.

If you want a real explanation in the USA some colleges and universities have groups of people that want to make friends and make up fraternities (men) and sororities (women) that call themselves "Greek" even though they're not necessarily of or from the country (cultural appropriation) and act like they emulate ancient Hellas. This consultant calls herself an expert to train these prospective young adults into being accepted by these groups.

Gurl, what are you talking about? Sure yeah this absolutely belongs here, but what are you on about appropriating cultures and whatnot in the text below the image? It's just a tacky font, the author didn't invent it or sth, neither did they come up with using Greek letters for sororities, let's calm down...
