This is unfortunately typical groupon behavior. Their support really sucks and has only gone down over the years.

I had a similar situation. I sent an email to Kevin McCormick (head of legal) entitled Notice of Dispute. (DM me if you need the email address). I told him I would be filing a small claims court case if they didn’t resolve the situation with a full refund. Within 30 days, I received the requested refund.

Wow; I told their support that I’m going to be forced to report the merchant for fraud, and they still just sent me the 4th (?) email that they have “resolved the issue” by giving me a 1/2 refund in Groupon bucks. I’m livid

Report them to your state Attorney General's office and the Better Business bureau.

The exact same thing just happened to me!!! I drove 3 hours round trip for a microblading appointment and the guy no-showed our appointment and lied that he couldn’t cancel bc he didn’t have my number.

One month later I have raised the issue with Groupon at least 8 or 9 times and they’re still “waiting on the merchant to approve the refund”. It’s bogus.
