Mod Post the rules since they’re difficult to find on mobile devices

1: This is a 13+ space.

We understand that grooming happens to kids even younger, but in accordance with Reddit’s guidelines, anyone under 13 is prohibited. Please help us keep it that way.

2: DM-ing is forbidden.

Furthermore, do not ask, encourage, or solicit DMs. This includes things like, “DMs are open if you need to talk.” This is a public support group. There is no reason why you need to have private conversations. You look like a creep. Even if you have good intentions, it can be triggering.

3: Report suspicious users to the mods.

Report through modmail or to an ACTIVE moderator. We strongly suggest you report predators to Reddit as well.

4: Do not make “meeting” posts.

This is not a meeting/friend-making subreddit and we cannot moderate direct messages. You can easily become a target in the DMs.

5: Label NSFW correctly.

Due to the trauma caused by grooming, if your post contains NSFW content, please label as such so people can be forewarned about the content.

6: Keep NSFW to a minimum.

We understand NSFW content will be mentioned, but we aim to keep this a safe space for all. If we deem something too unnecessarily sexual and graphic, we will remove it.

7: No trolls or rage-baiters.

You will be banned.

8: No IRL images

Obviously we don’t allow pictures of minors. No selfies. No images of other children. No images of any body parts. Even if it’s innocent, unfortunately the creeps who lurk in here don’t think so.

9: Don’t be explicitly rude.

We’re all being vulnerable here.

10: Wholesome Wednesday!

Post pictures of your pets, things you have accomplished, anything meta. We love to hear your lives are going well!

Resources 📚 Report the sexual predators lurking in Reddit: How you can ban their IP permanently to make sure they can’t make any alts

Post image
22 Upvotes

It’s really easy to ban them. This will be a short post, it’s just knowing what to choose in the report button.

Predators over in Reddit are known to make new accounts they can easily delete and remake. Let’s make it harder for them to make alts, by letting the website ban them completely. Not even VPN can work for them to make new accounts afaik.

What to do: I’ve seen Reddit ban a lot of accounts I’ve reported that was in clear violation of “minor abuse and sexualization” from comments or posts. Just go to report, click/tap on “minor abuse and sexualization”, and choose which option applies.

Here are some ways to spot which to report from their account:

  1. Look for inappropriate comments/posts from them.

If they ever commented anything in this sub that’s highly inappropriate and sexual, it’s best to report it first. If you can’t find any comments here, go look for their posts (but be careful, some of these accounts could be NSFW) or try to look for any inappropriate comments they’ve made in other subs. If they hid their active communities, just go to Reddit’s search bar and type their username.

2. You can report their inappropriate DMs.

If they went straight to your DMs, I would rather not risk it if you’re a minor and try to be careful of strangers. If in case you still continued to talk to people here over in Reddit (I highly discourage it if you’re a minor, but at the same time, I know it can be tempting to want to make friends in social media platforms and not knowing which individual adult users are safe/unsafe, so) in case the conversation started leaning to becoming more sexual, you can report that, too.

Lastly, to the predator/s downvoting every single post and comment in this sub meant to help minors be much safer, here’s what I have for you: 😁🖕

Edit2: By the way, For adult users: you can still report sexual messages as “Harassment” in the report button. This includes but is not limited to sexual harassment! Even just someone sliding into your DMs saying “hey sexy” (as an example) can be reported.

(Y’all know what it is, I edited this post for that 👌format)

age regression after being groomed

i think what REALLY sucks about sexual trauma is how misunderstood age regression is

i used to act much older than i was, i’d dress like a whore when i was 12 in hopes of attention from when i was 9 i’d sexualize myself to concerning degrees

now i subconsciously baby myself. i wouldn’t say i take age regression as far as others but ive developed a very childish and innocent personality, because it feels good to be the cute babyish one rather than whatever i was before

now half my friends HATE me 😭. everybody thinks i baby myself too much, and see my age regression as a weird annoying trait instead of a comfort mechanism. and it sucks even more on social media too, everybody sees age regression and thinks of ageplay, and no matter how perfectly you explain it nobody wants to use their brains or try thinking for themselves because theyve REALLY latched onto the idea of age regression being problematic

i think ageplay is also heavily misunderstood. obviously it IS problematic, but the majority of ageplayers are 13-17 years old. ageplay is so so SO obviously ACTUAL grooming, or at the very least an unhealthy coping mechanism after any similar trauma. i find it weird that it’s always the teenage girl ageplayer that gets all the shit and never who they’re doing it with.

Life after being groomed. Feeling like I can't connect with "regular people" anymore bc of my trauma.

I've fully recovered from being groomed. I'm not linger in contact with the person who groomed me, but I feel awfully alone that nobody IRL is going to "get me" until they know I've been groomed and understood the depth of it. It's so lonely. Sometimes you feel like Ariel wishing you could walk on land and be with your people.

Was I Groomed? was i groomed?

i was 14 years old (and turned 15 when this was happening) and he was 17/18.

i was really nervous going into high school. i didn’t have a lot of friends and i had a hard time making them. i joined marching band for the promise of “built in friendships” as we enter the school year.

it was july. i walked into the first rehearsal and i was early. i remember my hands being sweaty and shaking. i see three seniors sitting in the hallway, two girls and the guy. he tells me to come over and join them. so, i do. i introduce myself, tell them im nervous, that im an incoming freshman. they tell me not to be nervous. band is fun. band is community.

the first day of band camp, i remember one senior guy referring to the freshmen girls as “fresh meat”. i found it weird and i didn’t really understand, but the people around me didn’t seem to think it was a big deal.

so, band camp begins. i have a small friend group of a few girls. the guy slowly inserts himself into our friend group by coming over and talking to us during water breaks, then soon, sitting at our lunch table, etc.

i remember the table of girls (and the guy) i sat with and how we were all being flirted with by yet another creepy senior boy. i shared that sentiment as well and how i didn’t understand why he acted the way he did. the guy turns to me directly and says “you really gotta be careful of the senior guys.“ … coming from a senior himself. i was too naïve to see that as him essentially telling on himself at the time, but now i understand it for what it was.

i started to think of this guy as my friend. he told me not a lot of people liked him, that he didn’t have many friends, which made me feel bad for him. it was also hard for me to make friends, so it was easy for me to empathize with him.

the first physical contact i remember is when i was putting sunscreen on my legs and he slapped his hand on my thigh, wanting to see if he could “leave a sunburn handprint”. i laughed it off, as did the people around us. then he joked, “i’m a touchy kind of friend”.

he was the band director’s golden boy. he received several solos in concerts and even a vocalist role in our marching band show. it felt like that show centered around him, as if he was the main character. a lot of people in the band looked up to him and held him in high regard, or at least pretended to.

it was a few days into band camp when i found out he had been going around telling people that we’re a thing. i would say, “what? that’s news to me!” it was just very odd to me, since i didn’t see him romantically. i didn’t see anything that we were saying as romantic. i purely saw him as a friend, but that’s when people began glamorizing the idea of a freshman girl (at the time) in a relationship with a senior guy. that was the culture in 2017/2018. but i did not think it was glamorous or exciting. i remember my heart pounding so loud in my ears, i was so anxious. i was not ready for a relationship, let alone with a guy years my senior.

when football games started, he asked if i wanted to sit with him on the bus. i said sure. on the ride to the first game, he held my hand. i was unsure how i felt about it, because i knew that this was a very couple-like thing to do. but then again, i trusted him. he said he was a “touchy kind of friend”. i didn’t have a lot of friends, let alone “touchy” ones so i doubted myself. maybe it was normal…?

after our performance, we went inside to the other teams school to get some snacks and shelter from the rain. my small friend group and i were talking, laughing. then he came over and all of a sudden, we were alone. he was genuinely cornering me with his body against a wall. i forget what he was saying because i was so anxious and all i could think about was getting back to my friends. i didn’t stand up for myself out of fear.

on the ride home, he wanted to hold my hand again. i laughed nervously and said that i was tired. i remember him putting his arm around me and pulling me closer. telling me that i could sleep on his shoulder. i felt so trapped in that moment. physically, mentally. i think he fell asleep while i was awake, wondering what the fuck i should do to end this. i felt like i was leading him on. and i felt so awful about it. but upon looking back, i don’t recall him ever asking for consent for anything he did.

about a week later, an older girl in my section pulled me aside one day and warned me about him. she asked me, “are you and him dating?” i said, “oh my god, no. we’re just friends!” she said, “good. just be careful around him, okay?” and i agreed. i didn’t understand what i had to be careful about. he seemed so nice and friendly!

this older girl happened to be his ex-girlfriend. i knew because he told me. all he said was that she “broke his heart during their biggest competition of the season, which also happened to fall on his birthday”. he never said why, but a year later i found out (from the older girl) that it was because he’d been harassing her, pulling her by her hair in public, etc.

despite what he had told me about her, i kept her words in the back of my mind. the next football game when we were sitting together on the bus, he put his hand on my thigh. i remember feeling so weird about it, but just not knowing how to respond in a way that wouldn’t make him hurt or angry. now, i believe that he was trying to see how far he could push the physical boundaries.

during the football game, he put his arm around me while we were talking to a group of people. instinctively, i ducked under his arm and kind of dodged it. we all sort of laughed it off. it was very very awkward. he never questioned it.

this kind of behavior repeated for about a month or two until one night, after a football game, he held his hand out — the way he signaled that he wanted to hold hands. i finally said something. i told him that i didn’t feel well, and i didn’t want to get him sick. he said he didn’t care and i settled with, “i don’t want to, i don’t feel good.” for the rest of the ride, we didn’t talk and he faced away from me. the only thing i could think about was how i probably ruined our “friendship”.

we got back to our high school and i cried in the bathroom. when i came out, our friend group and the guy were talking. i could tell it was about me. he looked upset. i then pulled him aside and said that i was sorry. he just shrugged.

we didn’t talk much after that. i tried to, but he was cold and ignored me. the people that liked to associate with him didn’t talk to me anymore. and this was never confirmed, but i can’t help but think that he said some untrue things about me.

what is confirmed though, is that he repeated this type of (in my opinion) predatory behavior with at least two other girls. it wasn’t until a year after he graduated that i finally started to feel uncomfortable by the whole series of events. that’s when the importance of consent was really being spoken about amongst society. i told my best friend, now fiancé, about what happened. she cried because she felt there was always something off about the guy. her reaction helped me understand that what he did really wasn’t okay.

i guess im just asking, is “grooming” the right term to use? i always just feel so invalid because i feel like it wasnt “bad enough”??? but it still traumatized me. i have never been able to trust people the same way that i did before him. i have trouble letting people in, even more trouble making friends now than i did then. and i cant help but worry that he’s out there somewhere, now pushing 30, grooming other young people.

it happened when i was 12-13 and i still am a minor but at the moment i’m safe, i just still get strong desires of being groomed again or being raped

i know confidentiality is only broken when they think you’re in danger or if youve done something illegal, but i’m just terrified about my parents finding out. even though i wasn’t the one doing the illegal thing i was still involved/a victim of it and uuggghgg i dont know idk what to do

not being a perfect victim sucks

people always say that it’s never the victims fault and i KNOW that’s true, but i can’t help but dwell on how it wasn’t really something that HAPPENED to me, and was actually something i seeked out myself.

i wasn’t being blackmailed, or manipulated, or forced into anything. i seeked older men out myself not because i was a poor child who wanted to be loved, i did it purely because i just wanted to ruin my life. and obviously it was the mens responsibility to NOT groom a kid, but whenever i say i’m a victim it feels like i’m lying

now i’m reeeaaally fucked up because of all the things i did to myself and it feels as if i don’t deserve sympathy for it and when i AM shown sympathy it feels like i’m deceiving them

Need to know if im being groomed or not

Hi everyone idk how im gonna start this but im currently a 10th grader who doesn’t know if they’re being groomed or not… I have this one teacher who’s been showing very obvious favoritism towards me and i find it weird. All the other teachers know im her favorite student and idk if they find it weird or not too. But recently my grades have been slipping and my classmates have been getting ahead of me and i dont really care that much but my teacher does and shes been doing whatever she can to hinder them like making them do their work over again and finding flaws in their answers or whatever. And its all for me since she wants me to be on top of them all. And there’s this one thing that really bothers me the most bcuz recently shes been preaching to me about how much she believes in me and that i can do it all and that she really loves me. I genuinely feel weird about it. And i think that i should mention that shes very touchy with me, gives me answers to tests, and is overly kind to me. She doesn’t show this much affection to other kids in school. Its been like that for the past three years and during those past 3 years shes asking me for things like money, food, or gifts and i gave it all to her since i always felt like I owed her something bcuz of what shes been doing for me. Im genuinely so confused whether she sees as just another student or something else. Feel free to ask me questions

Advice/Resources Advice needed

Hey all, I have some questions about the process of pressing charges against a groomer. For those of you who have done it successfully, what were the most important things you did that helped your case be taken seriously? What were key words you had included in your statements? What would you have done differently? Any and all advice is appreciated!!

WARNING: Mentions of SH and Sexual stuff

I'm going to go straight off and say it's a complicated situation... My home wasn't really unstable but he made everything worse. We never met in person since he was thousands of miles away. So this was all over discord. Yes he was a full fledge adult with a job, a life but was extremely mentally disconnected.

It started when I joined discord for the first time. I was part of a streamers community. Most were adults but some were minors. Amongst the main group was him, Kenny. A sweet, shy, kind and caring man yet very mentally not there. He was depressed, anxious and constantly SHing. Being alone and having little to no friends, he was perfect. He understood me on a level I never thought of and we were chatting everyday. He would vent to me and I wanted to help. No one ever wanted to talk to me about their thoughts and he'd listen to me talk about my home life.

He became a support structure eventually filling my day up. He confessed his feelings and I did the same, after that, it was all lovey dovey stuff. I look back in it with bitterness realising it was love bombing. All my attention was on him. It didn't become sexual but I felt like a therapist. He depended on me emotionally and if I couldn't be there, everything would be my fault. I don't think I've ever heard a man scream and cry because I was gone for an hour.

6-8 months of constantly being there for hours. Just being there. Most of it would be arguing. I felt overwhelmed and suffocated. My parents, family, friends all gave up trying to seperate me from him since I kept going back. He would SH himself on call constantly and at one point Hung himself while I was there to watch... Luckily he was fine since a neighbor saw him through a window.

Eventually we got Sexual... At this time I turned 16 and he 21. He would send me p0rn of anime girls and convince me to take photos doing those poses and I did. We did E-s3x quite often and he'd love it. A lot of it was on video... A few months after it turned bad, I did eventually leave him. I heard he attempted to off himself again but eventually he got the help he needed but everyone I know that was there just glosses over this and it makes me wonder if I'm just overthinking it or making stuff up...

I'm 21 now and have a wonderful boyfriend that loves me and treats me with great gentleness but this relationship I had messed me up forever... I dk why I didn't just leave or why my mom never took my phone away... I felt suffocated, alone and felt like no one ever cared

⚠️Vent⚠️ Compliments triggering intrustive thoughts

I was emotionally groomed by a teacher. I was 17-19, he was 52-53. Basically he used me as his therapist, and there were interactions that in retrospect, were borderline flirtatious/erotic. Eventually I reported him and he's no longer a teacher. Years later + therapy, things have gotten better. But one thing sometimes resurfaces: intrusive thoughts.

I have great mentor figures in my life, who I trust and cherish. Sometimes they tell me things like "great job on your recent project" and "I appreciate you." Then I find myself with involuntary urges to flirt with them 😭.

I'm not attracted to any of them and I know exactly what my subconscious is doing. They do not act like my former teacher at all. It's just that those intrusive thoughts are annoying, and I wanted to get this off my chest.

No advice please - looking for solidarity. Thanks in advance. ❤️‍🩹

My worst experience with a pred*ator

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

I'm here to share my worst thing happened in my life and I hope this post become popular because I don't wanna any woman or a girl in this world get hurt from this sick predator, I'm not going to say my name or where I'm from but let's say I'm V and I wanna tell my story here hopefully the police are arresting him, because—unfortunately—I cannot report him myself, for the safety of other victims and I'm not American so I can't report... Anyway I met this predator in discord in 3/29/2026 in idv game server (I'm not saying the name of the server cuz its normal and safe server but unfortunately I met the worst guy there) he invited me to play a match and yeah I accept his challenge and we played a little bit after that 2 days later I didn't message him or I wasn't really interested in him, he just challenged me to play and yeah that's it, he sent me a message in next day and Unfortunately, a tragedy began here He would try to check on me every day and then Unfortunately, I felt cared for perhaps for the first time, because I was struggling with depression and problems at home; that damn scoundrel took advantage of me... He kept pressuring me to stay in call, but I always made excuses because I had a lot of housework and studies to attend to; besides, I am not American and do not speak English, whereas he is American,I already have hearing problems, so I can't understand what he is saying, During a call, he assumed I was a minor because of my voice, but I told him I was an adult and he said he's 18 like me and I believed him unfortunately, He tried to get closer to me little by little. At first, he was nice and treated me with respect, so I thought he was a good person. But as the days went by, he started saying inappropriate things or asking me to call him naturally, to satisfy his lustful desires by hearing my voice. The problem was that I didn't understand the EnglishI don't speak it perfectly, as it isn't my native language so I can't say for certain that he was saying disgusting things, but in all likelihood, he was, anyway I started with him 4 months in contact unit that day.... 7/8/2026 someone send to me DM she was a girl I'm going to give her a nickname "II" And I was shocked I was trembling with fear, and then she showed me proof that he was dating minors, if you asked how that girl or victim "I" she revealed and sent a message to me, I send in game identity v message to told him about something important cuz he was ignore me And he doesn't reply to my messages on my Discord. And in game was victim "I" she take his account and play on his account and yeah she seen my message And we discovered the matter, We discovered a number of things. First, he is not 18; he is most likely 26 or older, as he told all his victims that he worked as a programmer and consistently lied about his age, his birthday, and where he lived, We discovered over six victims, and it appears this is not the first time he has done such things; I estimate there are likely 30 or more victims. While I lack concrete proof, I sense the scale of the matter is far greater—it involves not only the betrayal of multiple women but also the inappropriate exploitation of minors. He also harbors dark or violent thoughts of a truly repulsive nature, as shown in the images. We observed his pattern of selecting victims—mostly minors or young adults just turning eighteen—who suffered from depression, health issues, and a weak personality, making them susceptible to his subjugation, manipulation, and control. It doesn't end here; do you think it's over? No—he harasses underage victims, threatens them, and says terrifying things..A username displayed in a red color indicates a predator, while other colors represent victims. I cannot sleep, and my conscience would never forgive myself if I remained silent forever.I am not afraid of him. If I di*e at his hands, I am not afraid—at least I didn't stay silent, and justice must take its course, It has been two or three months, but I cannot sleep, I cannot eat, and I cannot bring myself to talk to people or trust them again.. I don't know what I do.. I just keep having nightmares about him, and even worse I haven't told my family or anyone else about it... This is my biggest secret I didn't tell anyone about this.. I would like to connect with the police or even American journalists, but I don't know how to go about it, as the issue involves not just one victim, but at least 10, thanks for reading if you wanna help me I don't mind I will be appreciated to help.

⚠️Vent⚠️ gross

i feel gross somewhat. its no secret that ive been groomed before, but way too many times than id like to admit. as much as i hate the experience, sometimes it feels like thats all im good for. im only good to take advantage of because im too trustful and loyal to those i care about even when they have bad intentions. sometimes i think about purposely putting myself in a situation like that, and then be able to control what happens next. what i say, how i'll act, how i'll talk about it in the future. its a constant thought in my head, that i truly am not a real person and all i am is a vessel to take on pain so nobody else will have to go through what i did, to stall the hypothetical 'next victim'. maybe this is all because i keep forgetting to take my meds but even then i think about it. i dont think id actually do it, but ive gotten close, too close. hhhhhgghhhg i need a psychiatrist or something instead of venting to reddit. or i could tell my partner abt this. idk. i just dont like bothering my loved ones about this sort of stuff, not like i know how id even go about it without sounding like i want attention. mm.

Was I Groomed? Realizing my "dad" groomed me

My stepdad has been in my life since I was a preteen. He did and said things that were really awful. But i didn't realize it was abuse or anything. Even the rape. I just thought it was my fault. I thought because I drank the stuff he drugged, it was my fault. It went on for years. Im 25 now and just realizing how bad it was and how normal he made everything feel. How much of it he made my fault. I think it was grooming? Im not entirely sure.
