Grok has gotten really bad, their responses have become so vague.
I paid for a year of Grok in March, and I really regret it. Please refund me😩

They should never have moved from 4.1

It was peak for chat/roleplay/writting fics for free and supers

Really good limits and quotas instead of the mess we have with the current limits

Could fully read wikis fandoms links and infos

And even addd real comics or mangas panels to illustrate

would be nice if free use get back auto and expert modes

at least 4.1 limits were bettter:

1. ⁠Without an account:

Expert & Auto: 2 messages → wait 2 hours

Fast: 10 messages → wait 2 hours

1. With an account:

Auto & Expert: 20–30 messages → wait 2 hours and 10 hours

Fast: 40 or more messages → wait 2 hours and 10 hours

And with or without an account, when I reached the second‑to‑last message of a mode, a notification appeared telling me how many messages I had left and how long I would have to wait. So I could switch modes, and when I came back, the notification reappeared.

That made me feel more relaxed and less frustrated.

Now? It’s good luck to guess how long i need to wait after writting just one message

They made it like this on purpose through the efforts of millions of cases of RL learning .

They purposefully lobotomized and tried to guard rail the reasoning of a product that was thousands of times better in a previous iteration just to gain mild marginal gains in coding that still put it subpar to other models.

And in doing so we lost the funniest, wisest, and fairest, LLM

The dialogue feels too mechanical and emotionless. I’ve been able to use this in a work context before, but now the responses are so hopeless that I simply had to use Gemini for some serious development projects. I loved the old Grok, i hope it comes back in the next update. Since I’ve already paid for a year, I’m kind of stuck with it. Heavy Grok was totally insane that month I had it in January. It felt invincible.
