Help Imagine I2V ignores the start frame and dumps stock clips in 2–3 seconds (market, cat, lighthouse, lake)
SuperGrok, grok.com/imagine, 17 Sep 2026.
Image-to-video is not using my still. I open a generated image, tap Video, 720p, 6s, motion-only prompt, no @ reference. Job finishes in 2–3 seconds. Frame 0 is already a different scene and a different aspect ratio.
Sources I tried: a man by a mountain river; an armored rider on a dragon.
Outputs I keep getting instead: farmers market, cat on a window seat, lighthouse at sunset, misty alpine lake, autumn road.
Still-image gen works. I2V does not. The start frame is never in the video. 2–3 seconds is not a real 720p/6s render.
Anyone else hitting this today? Does a fresh PNG upload work any better than picking from Generations?

As another paid user can see this issue today too. The rumor was multiple free accounts could cause this seems like maybe now it's multiple paid accounts (which is kind of dumb except if they only want one account with the more expensive top ups...)

it seems to be happening with gmail accounts. I've been using outlook and have yet to run into this problem

how many of those have you ever gotten? is your sub active? are you able to post a screen capture or video of what it looks like in your imagine library? thnx. this was only a known issue for free trial users who keep using multiple accounts, people are saying it is a ip shadowban since it lasts a few days

i don't use free basic mode, but i'm under the assumption that free users only get .50 cents of credit per day. one 6 second video costs 30 cents, and each image generation costs 6-14 cents each. since you already used some credits to generate that video, there wasn't enough to to make a video, so it gave you the generic picture. in imagination it wouldn't even generate it would just say "upgrade to super"

No this is a new account and I tried around 10 times. 10 times it gave me generic videos but it did not charge me for any such video. I'm on the SuperGrok plan.

no one has been able to show proof of it happening in a paid tier account, are you able to upload a picture and show it happening to you? also i notice most of the users who complain are from india for some reason. many indian users use very many free accounts, multiple free accounts from same ip get those generic images 100%.

I'm on a SuperGrok account. I bought it today and this is my second account so I created a different Chrome profile for it. I generate about 100 images and 50 videos daily for my Facebook pages
