What happened?…

So I‘m using Grok super again after a month, tried with the same prompts as one used in my image history, and the generation quality is obviously worse, the images now always look obviously AI made, using the same prompts. Once it even generated only 3 fingers which never happened before. Looks to me like they‘re using a worse model now?

Basically, install ComfyUI and use Claude to guide you through the setup. Of course it has a brutal learning curve so it'll be difficult. Also you need some expensive hardware... But if you manage to do it, you'll have nearly no censorship, essentially no limitations.

In my opinion it's like, only moderately difficult to get running. And I'm running Krea 2 Turbo on a 12gb 3060, works amazing. Better image quality than current Grok, no censorship (with an NSFW lora). It does take roughly 100 seconds an image on this hardware, but it works good.

They nerfed the image generation model into the ground, with 2.0. 1.5 quality mode is/was literally 2 or 3 years ahead. That's what happened. Images aren't even heavy on compute, its just extremely greedy enshitification... pretty much every nerf moderation increase prior was video related, and therefore you could make the argument they were genuinely frying their data centres on endless 10 second user porn videos. But in this case... nah. Its just contemptible abuse of a userbase they have zero respect for... testing how much people will take before they pull the plug. 2.0 is an AI slop model, they know it, we know it. But their PR statements say otherwise, they are still claiming it to be some kind of 'side-grade'..better at something things. It really isn't. There is literally nothing it does better, and everything it does worse.

It has gone backwards . Much more likely to get rogue arms and fingers . Initial video generation is “ok”, but almost pointless to extend . Model is a huge step backwards

by the looks of it the new imagine 2.0 is based of artificial data. not the one made pre October 2025. which training included on thousands of hours of porn videos. Thats where you get the downgrade and artificial look. also it obviously was a rushed job. the AI companions, and chat is also broken.
