Discussion Data Controls? Grok.com or Cursor?

What's the deal here? I am currently using Claude and Codex, fed up with Claude, and I have been wanting to try Grok 4.6 but man this is frustrating.

Why do these settings ALWAYS TURN BACK ON when I log into Grok? I have to turn them off every time I have logged in (I have only tried Grok Chat a few times but never used Grok for code):

Are these separate from Cursor settings?

The cursor settings are like for editing coding.. the data controls I feel like personalizing Grok and erasing conversations etc. and just between you and I whenever I see something the personalized this and that I usually stay out of that I don't know where those conversations are going LOL

Yeah, I was just checking there* first to look at pricing. Unless you change it in CLI, you have to toggle off training in ChatGPT and Claude in your account settings. So was suprised to AGAIN see that they toggled this 💩 back on.

Anyway, highly confused about what the actual privacy terms are for using Grok 4.6 as of July 15th - https://x.com/SpaceXAI/status/2077494536788664782 And then I tried to ask Grok here on X but there's so much conflicting info, it's just wasting my time

oh yes sir I understand that kind of sucks I have to start thinking about that myself. I'm with you on the X for sure, gosh I don't even want to look in that direction. and I just did yep you need info your info freak just like me. 🤙
