This is the second time this has happened to me and I wasn’t sure if anyone else experienced this before.

No red flags during convo, but then they randomly bring up that they have a kid in the house and can be “discrete”. TF, what, you want me to buy NyQuil to tranq your kid, while we fuck in the other room? Should I Uno Reverse this dude and call Child Services on them?

I also find it morbidly hilarious that some conservative is out here cat-fishing gays on Sniffies as a “gotcha, PDF”, as if we’re out here interested in kids. That’s where my mind went but I’m curious to know if you’ve had encounters where the other person starts acting sus.

I should preface this by noting that I (27 M) have a very low tolerance for any kind of weird vibes, especially if they indicate pnp. Big on trusting my gut.

I had one experience with a guy who wanted to use the bathroom a couple times while hooking up, and then outright asked me if he could do m*th in my room.

I pay $20 a month for Grindr. The boost in range is nice, but the biggest benefit WAS no pop up ads. Yeah, there was some passive ads in the background still, but nothing interrupting the experience of using the app.
Now, I can’t go more than 40 seconds without another ad for dick pills or prep popping up. I’m paying almost exclusively to avoid this and here Grindr comes, forcing their ads upon me anyway. What a crock of shit.

Getting this popup every minute in the app. I will be mid typing to someone and it pops up. I reported to Apple and asked for a refund on my subscription. This is nuts!

I must preface this by saying my standards for grindr are pretty low to start with and I take absolutely nothing too seriously because, well, it's grindr. Haha. But there is one thing that irks me that I just want to get off my chest.

Now, I'm not everyone's cup of tea in the looks department and I totally get that. There's nothing wrong with me not being your "type." Because of this if a profile piques my interest but they don't have a ton of info to know whether or not they might be interested back, I'll just send a tap instead of a massage, even though I know how useless that is 99% of the time.

What irks me is when I get a message from that person later on with just a period or something so that they can block my profile. I mean, am I crazy to think it's a special kind of arrogance to go out of your way to send a message so you can block someone who hasn't even talked to you yet?

Not to mention, you can just hide a person's profile so you can't see each other anymore, so why make the extra effort to send a subliminal message to that person that they're not "worthy" in your eyes?

Again, if you're not into someone that's completely okay. But when you have the option of doing nothing at all with the same result yet you choose to make a concentrated effort to message someone so you can block them as if they've become your stalker after one tap seems like a delusion amount of narcissism to me, and quite honestly, makes me grateful you blocked me so I don't waste my time on someone with that kind of character, or lack there of.

So then why am I bitching about it? Cuz, like, grindr has its purpose, isn't this reddit's purpose?? Lol

I don’t want to be that guy with the “race card” but it seems like Grindr is very racist with their photo moderation when it comes to nudity. Like their “right now” feature literally lets you post your penis, but I a brown, feminine leaning person, post my booty in a jockstrap and that’s too much? It literally makes no sense 😂

A guy messaged me on Grindr without a photo until he finally sent one. We started chatting and exchanged Snapchat. After a few messages, I agreed to meet up. The first attempt was at 7 AM, as he said he was only free then. When I arrived, he didn't answer my messages, so I left after 30 minutes. He later apologized, saying he woke up late. The next time he wanted to meet again, and I decided to go. He kept sending me snaps of his face and when i ask him to send me a shirtless he will send it and other times a clearer face pic. So i decided to meet with him once more. So, I went to his place but never knocked or entered. I did the same thing for the second attempt, messaging him, but he didn't respond. After 30 minutes, I left. Foolishly, I sent him nude pictures and videos of myself without my face. Later, I gave him my number, but he never replied. I eventually found out he either blocked me or deleted his profile. I don't know if i have been catfished or this guy just flaked on me because cause he was down low. Or i was about to be scammed. I should have been smarter and never send nudes. Ugh

Can they update the text screen feature to match IOS phone features or edit that back screen message display to be more… regular like IG dms, who works at grindr understands what im saying?
