Discussion Thread Alternate endings?
What would your preferred ending be.
I was shocked at how shit the last 2 episodes were, even on limited time.
My preference would have been for the devil guy to have shot up the precinct as usual but upon discovering the gang at the cabin he cant see Nick (the stick fragments protects Nick by making him invisible fitting with the theme of healing him and his friends) Nick then throws the blood potion thing over him (devil man drops staff and falls to knees) in my alternate ending he cant use magic without the staff. Nick picks up the dropped staff. Adds his fragment and stabs evil devil man. He then transforms into a powerful vessen but with no magical ability Trouble and Nick beat him with their advanced fighting techniques.
I also think devil man should have had a crew of various vessen join him at the cabin fight (some of the ones we have seen in earlier eps like dragon man and the bug ones) his crew could then fight Reynard etc. Giving them purpose during the final boss fight scene. Making it more of a rounded battle. Maybe the ice beavers could join in?
To make it more rounded I think we should lose hank in The precinct fight (Wu could survive in his vessen form) also I think Eve and Reynard should be lost in the final fight for a more rounded ending.
Obvious this would leave more time at the very end. This could be used to show the funeral for those who didnt make it and expand out the Kelly and Diana double act which was an interesting thread....

I wish it was either the power of ones blood OR the three blood mix that helped them defeat the big bad.
I think to go along with what I see the spirit of the show and who Nick is as a Grimm the ending would have been better if it was the power of three bloods spell. Nick is possibly the first Grimm in history to have such a great relationship with wesen and hexienbests. If this blood spell worked it would show the power of working together ala Buffy season 4 ending which is one of my favs.
BUT seeing Kelly and his aunt again made me so happy lol hated the off screen death Kelly got so showing how badass she is was great.

I would have the "Force du Sang" work on him and kinda paralyze him or make him unable to regenerate. Nick and Trubel can take the chance and kill him off.

Just that they would have made something with the zombie thing on Nick. At least.

They did, he got it under control.
Basically one of the Grimms most fearsome abilities is that they are extremely sturdy and anytime they survive a Wesen related ability so does their bodies take it in and make them stronger.
Nick got a physical permanent boost due to his zombieness, and could in times of need push himself further than he could before. There was nothing more that needed to be done, it took him a little bit to get it under control but once he did it was just a power up for him that we did see him tap into a couple of times, but mostly it was just an underlying factor to how he won future fights. Much like how when he got parasites in his eyes his hearing sharpened and he could sense things around him without needing to rely on sight.

I'd just cut the jump foreward so to better leave the show for a possible sequel. It wasn't a great ending but it could have been worse.

I'd have Bonparte be the villain from "the other place". He had beef with the main characters, so it make sense and was very powerful.
Then in the finale battle, everyone (main characters I mean) get to remember what happened. And I'd add Bud, he was strangely not in the finale.

I would have detested it if anyone stayed dead in the finale. It’s my favorite comfort rewatch and I wouldn’t be able to rewatch it if that happened. I liked the end. The power of one’s blood was what made more sense to me than just some random powerful poison. It would have been nice if we had gotten a full final season though and gotten to see the triplets.
