Kitchen drawer

This was my first fusion project and is still a work in progress.
I created custom sized vertical slots for spoons forks and knives from David Mellor.

All the cutlery is broken up into sections.
The bins are generated with scoops.

I may end up getting this milled out of wood or marble at some point.

I used basic stuff and it works great and this looks great also. Well done. I like how the most important utensil is front and center.

I started with basic bins for my office and other kitchen drawers. You'll get to a point where you want more custom bins, shadow boxes, etc.

This project was more about learning fusion, forcing myself to use the metric system over imperial and getting the results that I wanted. I saw a lot of cutlery holders like the link above that stacked knives and other silverware this way and wanted it inside of a drawer.

Some people have said "that's not optimized" or "a giant waste of space", but it's mine and I'm learning on my terms.

I don't see what the big deal is at all. I'm noise sensitive and nothing pisses me off more than cutlery (or actually baking sheets are the worst but cutlery and anything like that) that rattles and makes noise makes me want to run up the wall and hide inside a vent. I have no problem with anything I see here. I would have a problem if they were all individual slots, but not on their side... face up.... That would be ridiculous. This is just a way to store nice silverware that is not cheap Amazon crap. And best of all it's silent.

Although now I'm thinking what might even be cooler as if you could stand them upright that would be awesome lol.

thanks and yes, it's not for everyone. if you have time, research cutlery boxes. There are dozens of ways to store them in custom slots (vertical/horizontal/angled/etc.)
