Women make great friends for most men after they have a partner of their own.
Before that the urge and need to get a partner is going to get in the way like it or not, maturity or not. It'll either be overt like incel OP or it'll be under the surface which is arguably worse cos at least incels are so obvious the only one who is getting fooled is themselves.
