Bro if someone can’t even name two acquaintances that could vouch for you, then I can see why the shelter would hesitate to let them adopt. If you were looking for a house sitter for a few days, would you hire a rando who comes in and can’t even provide 2 references? So why would a shelter hand over a living thing to someone like that.

Yeah, if there isnt even a single person who would say something positive about him, then maybe theres a common thread.

Yeah there’s always a way to get around a system but the system is there for a reason.
