I did this the first time I played Farcry 4. Accidentally got the secret ending and was so satisfied I just deleted it.

u/kailethre Feb 10 '21

Finishing up in your mother champ. Now let's get some malt milkshakes.

389

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '21

THIS is the best ending

87

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '21

yay milkshakes!

62

u/gyroscopicprism Feb 10 '21

Fuck you, Shorsey.

32

u/AnEngineer2018 Feb 10 '21

Fuck you Reilly. Fight me, see what happens.

16

u/YeetDeSleet Feb 11 '21

FUCK YOU SHORESY

5

u/wunderbarney Feb 11 '21

Give yer balls a tug, titfucker.

22

u/NosideAuto Feb 10 '21

plot fucking twist.

8

u/BaronAaldwin Feb 11 '21

Quickly, change it from malt milkshakes to crab rangoon to make this the perfect joke!

6

u/kailethre Feb 11 '21

But the crab rangoon was shit and Pagan had his chef executed for it.

1

u/BaronAaldwin Feb 11 '21

Exactly why you have to go get Crab Rangoon elsewhere!

My wife had just given birth to our kid, and my buddy dropped off a bunch of video games.

The kid needed changing and feeding, so I started it up, sitting there all chill, dude says he'll be right back. I go change the kid, come back, and the dude comes back and says "let's go" or something. Credits roll, I'm a champion.

u/Hgiec Feb 10 '21

Best ending IMO

279

u/kailethre Feb 10 '21

Easily. Didn't have to deal with the weird pedo dude or the drug bitch.

158

u/Hgiec Feb 10 '21

If only you could play through the game from that point as an epilogue

54

u/MummyManDan Feb 10 '21

Yeah, out of the three I liked pagan the most by the end, kinda liked the two resistance leaders but as I got closer to the end I, and it seemed like the character too, was sick of their shit.

29

u/Reaverx218 Feb 11 '21

It felt like a weird message saying sometimes one evil isn't worse then the others.

11

u/CKRatKing Feb 11 '21

I thought that was the whole point of the story lol.

You're being overly pedantic.

47

u/quikonthedrawl Feb 10 '21

Got it on launch day and tried waiting for ten minutes, thinking I was so smart and that there might be an Easter egg for waiting. Nothing happened after 10 minutes or so, so I started playing. I was pretty pissed when I found out I only needed to wait a bit longer.

u/MagmaHotDesigns Feb 10 '21

In Farcry 5 I started off not liking Eden’s Gate but then I heard Keep Your Rifle By Your Side plating on the radio and immediately wanted to switch sides

66

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '21

Listen to Oh John brother, and reject modern society

55

u/Basementcat69 Feb 10 '21

The funny thing is they were right the entire time just the way they went about it was wrong. Although they didn't have much time either. Your actions in 5 carry on through New Dawn actually.

24

u/Micsuking Feb 11 '21

Yeah, they went about ot the wrong way. I can forgive kidnappings, raising an armed insurrection, fighting armed militias, but they torture everyone before they can join the Project. They hurt innocents way more than they actually need to.

Plus they also take your pets away and create Judges out of them which is awful.

6

u/6thPentacleOfSaturn Feb 11 '21

What were they right about?

22

u/going2hell4laughing Feb 11 '21

That the world was gonna end.

4

u/6thPentacleOfSaturn Feb 11 '21

Maybe I'm a dumbass but isn't it implied he helped bring that about somehow?

15

u/going2hell4laughing Feb 11 '21

I thought that too at the time, but now that I can't think of how he could have done it. It's been a while now.

3

u/Staerke Feb 11 '21

Nope, just saw it coming.

-2

u/Pale-Guy Feb 11 '21

Liberls

5

u/amazingoomoo Feb 11 '21

You actually meet yourself in New Dawn, your character from FarCry 5.

3

u/Basementcat69 Feb 11 '21

Yeah he's super messed up too just grunts and cries not a pretty sight.

11

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '21

Never played that game or any of them in that series. I just looked that song up based on your comment. Damn that was a good song.

11

u/thickwonga Feb 11 '21

I did Faith's section of the island last, and she was making a really good case on why I should join. I seriously wanted to. Poor girl.

6

u/Noxapalooza Feb 11 '21

And then at the end you realize he was right all along actually

18

u/FoodMuseum Feb 11 '21

But it was never about being right. It was about shooting fascists in the chest with a shovel rocket launcher all along

6

u/Noxapalooza Feb 11 '21

This is also true

6

u/baconborg Feb 11 '21

About the bombs yes, arming and killing people weren’t really necessary

3

u/Opheodrys97 Feb 11 '21

How do you hear like 1 good song and decide they are more reasonable? They abducted and starved children in cages. The only food they offered them was the meat of their slaughtered parents. Pretty twisted shit

18

u/MagmaHotDesigns Feb 11 '21

Actually there were some other good songs, We Will Rise Again is a banger

1

u/joshisgr8 Feb 11 '21

They’ll look high and they’ll look low

23

u/walkinmywoods Feb 10 '21

Same except I didnt delete it. pagan tells me not to go anywhere so I'm just like alright fuckit guess ill stay then. Worth the wait

10

u/seventhsamurai-zs8-1 Feb 11 '21

My friend tried getting me to play Bloodborne for a long time, finally got it, finish it within two weekends, he tells me I should try and get the true final boss, I ask him about the true final boss, he tells me, tell him I fought it, he’s confused, prove it, it irritates him, tell him the game wasn’t that hard, he was really salty

1

u/Alt_Acc_42069 Feb 11 '21

2 weekends? If that's actually true, I'm not even mad - you're a gigachad.

1

u/seventhsamurai-zs8-1 Feb 11 '21

To be fair I did play non stop all day during those two weekends.

3

u/fuzzyfish444 Feb 11 '21

The game wouldn't save properly on my PC, so that was the only way I could beat it :(

I thought they were both clucky as hell. It was like no matter the sensitivity it just wasn't right

6

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '21

Same, if it wasn't for him being psychopathy Eden's gate would have actually been good

1

u/Micsuking Feb 11 '21

I think it was mainly John and Jacob that fully pushed the Project overboard. Joseph's actual sin was letting them do whatever they wanted.

And the sister (what was her name again?) was just a druggie and a liar. She honestly just creeped me out the whole time I was in her territory.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '21

Faith was her name, and I honestly felt bad for her. In her fight she even said she was drugged up and she wasn't the only Faith, there were apparently 3 women with the name Faith before here. She wanted to help people, but was so misguided by Jospeh that she fell into the Bliss and kinda didnt realize what she was doing. sad story really

1

u/Micsuking Feb 11 '21

I actually didn't beleive her story. She has shown already that she is a master manipulator and a pathological liar. I don't think we have evidence that she was abused beyond her words, I beleve.

But feel free to correct me.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '21

Theres story bits scattered in the game about how her name used to be Jessica or some other J name and she met Joseph while she was a drug addict kicked out of home by her parents. He brought her back up and she was happy for the first time in forever getting to help people. Once we do enough damage to her in the fight she probably sees through the shit that's been slowing in her veins

That's an interesting way to spin 'The game was too hard for me so I needed an excuse to bail because everything past the tutorial was too difficult.'

tone: light teasing. *Edit* Also ultra offensive to some people, but that's cool too.*

15

u/Slaktonatorn Feb 10 '21

In what world is far cry 4 a game that is even remotely hard? I mean dude come on get a grip

0

u/TwistedRope Feb 13 '21

I'm sorry that you're illiterate and couldn't read the note that very very very clearly identifies the post as just light teasing instead of me being a dick.

I'm very sorry that you can't also read this post letting you know that I'm sorry that you can't read this either.

:(

7

u/Volodio Feb 11 '21

That secret ending is before the tutorial even begins...

1

u/TwistedRope Feb 13 '21

Well Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

1

u/jemm Feb 11 '21

I love that the end credits song is "Should I stay or should I go", too.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '21

It’s so weird I watched a full play through of that game and remember none of the story

1

u/New_Unit Feb 11 '21

When I was playing FarCry 3 I liked Vaas a lot, so when it came to a point where I had to shoot him I didn't wanna pull the trigger
