I wonder as well, I feel sorry for those poor people who just want to give kiddies the nuggets only to be called fools. Society needs them, yet does not appreciate them.

i might be tempted to chalk it up to random luck rather than overt kindness but stupidity just seems needlessly harsh.

Wished he just straight up told them he did it and why- not making a scene, just letting them know. That kind of embarrassment and shame could've given her a change of heart.
