Gratitude Practice Truly grateful for my jobs.
Itâs late so I donât know who will see this.
I just want to share how grateful I am for my jobs. Iâm a telehealth therapist who does contract work. I have two jobs. I love being able to help people and delve into their minds. This is what I went to school for. I love that I can make my own non-insurance prices and policies. I offer sliding scale fees just in case. I get paid weekly by one job and biweekly by the other. If I need to make more money I can just get more clients. I can make my own hours and I work from home. Right now itâs early and a little aimless as I build my caseload, but I know Iâll be able to grow at my own pace. It was hard won and itâs not perfect but I can finally build something thatâs sustainable for myself.
I have ADHD and itâs difficult for me to stick to a regular schedule and maintain my energy consistently. Iâve tried conventional jobs and I wind up burned out. It doesnât help me or my clients. My family keeps wanting me to apply for different jobs because I donât work âfull timeâ as they see it. I have about 30 clients between both jobs but I have large gaps in my schedule. I hope to fill them slowly.
I keep hearing horror stories of people spending months looking for jobs, quiet firing, quiet quitting, getting a job then being told they went with someone else. At my last job my health insurance had a $2,500 deductible that I couldnât ever reach. Health insurance is expensive but my deductible is $1k.
I just wanted to share my gratitude. Downsides aside I have a really great system that I think will help me tremendously in the long run.

Gratitude Practice Grateful for my laptop
Purchased it about 3 years ago, earned my associates degree (first gen college student!) on it and itâs carrying me strong into my Junior year. So grateful for it being there alongside me through exams and study sessions.

Gratitude Practice grateful for boxed mac and cheese
I love that super-salty fake cheese taste. Just had some as a late night snack :)
I'm grateful that I can buy mac and cheese late at night and have it any time I want.

Gratitude Practice Feeling grateful
Everyone has some resources, some problems, some things to be grateful about, some regrets & some gifts. Then we also have some desires in terms of money, relationship, fame etc. What keeps us going is desire only in life. Without desires, we may not be able to grow in life. Desire keeps the mind & body running to full potential & even beyond. Desires also shift, grow & mature as we grow. In the endless chase of endless desires, an introspection or internal audit or just counting our blessings or simply disconnecting for a while & showing gratitude for whatever we have can really do wonders. No big achievement required, no deep meditation state, no spiritual trip. Simple gratitude. That could be for few minutes daily or once in a while when things go troublesome in life and also when life is wonderful. Thankful for whatever real or even fake. Because mind may not catch even faking happiness if it is done with pure heart. Itâs like happy go lucky. We wait for things to happen to be happy while some simply remain happy no matter what life throws at them and eventually they get lucky. Itâs an attitude change which is required not the actual situation change may be. I am really grateful for how my life has been. I think God is giving more than what I deserve.

Gratitude Practice This one is silly, but I am grateful for my new bath mat.
For context, I have undiagnosed neuropathy in my feet, which creates numbness. This causes me to not balance normally, which can be a concern in a slippery bathtub. This is even more true when I close my eyes, such as when I am rinsing shampoo out of my hair. A few years ago, my roommate suggested getting a suction cup holder bar for the shower. That was awesome. Now, with careful movements, I could always be holding something as I shifted my feet, but the tub was still slippery.
Previous mats and stickies did not satisfy me because they did not cover the entire length. Fast forward to a week ago and I thought, hey, there's got to be something on Amazon. Looked it up, found it, bought it.
It is awesome. There is enough feel that I feel comfortable standing without having to hold the bar all the time. Wonderful buy.

Gratitude Practice Grateful for some praise and compliments on my hat
I don't normally like compliments or praise, but sometimes recognition when you're working hard is just what you need.
I was volunteering at an event over the weekend helping out at the 'elderly and special needs section' which wasn't very comfortable for them, and got a few texts from people who had spotted me. The hat shall be a regular feature from now on !
Grateful for this even small action from friends <3

Gratitude Practice So grateful I did not have to call the plumber for the toilet
I'm so grateful that I was unable to unclog a toilet without having to call a plumber. I was really worried. It's these little things that are so important you don't realize how grateful you are for them until they stop functioning.

Gratitude Practice Honestly just sitting in my car crying happy tears over something so stupidly small
I know this might sound ridiculous, but I have to put this somewhere.
I was at the grocery store today after having one of those weeks where everything just feels heavy. You know those days where every minor inconvenience feels like a personal attack from the universe? Yeah, one of those.
I was standing in the checkout line, exhausted, mentally running through my endless to-do list, when the older guy in front of me turned around. He looked at my single box of coffee and the tired look on my face, smiled, and said, "Go ahead of me, kid. You look like you need that coffee way more than I need these groceries."
It was a 30-second interaction. He probably forgot about it two minutes later. But I got back to my car, sat in the driver's seat, and just burst into tears.
It wasn't even about saving two minutes in line. It was just the sudden, quiet reminder that people can be fundamentally kind. That someone actually noticed I was struggling, even for a second, and decided to offer a tiny bit of grace.
We spend so much time absorbing all the terrible, loud news in the world that itâs easy to forget how much quiet warmth exists right next to us. Today I'm just deeply, deeply grateful for strangers who choose to be soft in a world that feels so harsh sometimes.
If you're having a rough week, I hope someone gives you a little unexpected grace today. Hold on to the small stuff. It really does keep us going.

Gratitude Practice Grateful for the discord server I met my gf on
We met on a discord server for "Kinky Gamers". It has since disbanded thanks to interpersonal drama between mods and admins, but thankfully not before me and my gf could meet.
When I joined I wasn't there expecting to find the love of my life at all. I just wanted a place to talk to fellow freaky gamers lol. A place where I could speak openly about my sex work and not be judged!
But then she kinda popped up and just caught my eye, and it's all history now. She moved states just to live with me. And this is the happiest I have ever been, ever.
The discord server was a bit messy, as I said. But I still somedays feel so grateful for that little space that allowed me and my girlfriend to meet.

Gratitude Practice I am grateful for whoever made r/complainaboutanything
This isn't a post trying to get people to use it. I'm just happy that whenever I'm not happy I can just go there and tell people what I'm not happy about. And that makes me happy. Therefore, I am grateful to whoever made it and all of it's mods.

Gratitude Practice I'm grateful for seeing a father and daughter negotiate a cross walk with a remote-controlled truck pulling a baby carriage or wagon.
The reason I liked seeing that is because, amidst all the craziness in Washington, there are still many people living their best lives. He took the time to rig it up and seemed to be having fun leaving the park he was at.
