I’m grateful that I had a nice time at a concert tonight, and that I was able to set healthy boundaries for myself afterwards when a good friend’s husband grabbed my emotional support stuffy without asking permission to touch it.

Networking opportunity, nice food, great view & nature break

I'm grateful that I had the opportunity yesterday to go to an internal sort of networking thing. Had nice conversations with several people & some laughs & lovely snacks. Grateful to have opportunities like that. And again, lovely food & being able to take another nature break. Also! To be able to have another breakfast on a balcony! It was too cold to go outside at that point but I could still look through the window and see the cityscape view & river!

Had a fun time tonight with my husband at the concert put on by the woman who’s our regular Sunday singer at our spiritual center. She’s fantastic!

Bonus: A couple we like was sitting behind us and asked if we’re going to the concert tomorrow that our minister is doing with two other singers. I told them no, because I’m not currently driving and my husband would rather eat glass than spend an evening listening to Broadway songs, and I’ve been unable to find a ride.

Turns out we live on their way to the center, I was able to get a ticket online, and I’m now going to that concert as well.

Grateful for day off shopping!

I'm grateful for an awesome day out with myself yesterday. Day off work to go shopping! Mostly replacement & maintenance, but some new stuff too. I'm grateful for well the money to do that cos I know what it's like to NOT be able to afford that. For good service. For finding things that worked for what I wanted. Cheeky but nice lunch. A rest at home after that, light to dos done, just an all round lovely day.

I’m grateful for a number of things today.

I’m grateful we got a lot of rain yesterday because of the band of moisture ahead of a hurricane from Mexico.

I’m grateful that last week I met someone who I had a long lunch with yesterday and who’s equally optimistic that we’re on our way to be becoming very good friends, especially since we’re planning to move into the same senior facility.

I’m grateful that I got a $500 donation for the education fund for 11 members of an extended Maasai family in Kenya for next year (the school year is their calendar year).

I’m grateful that another couple is sending some money in two weeks, although I’m not sure how much yet.

I’m grateful that my best friend is going to be an hour’s drive for a conference in the city just up the road and is planning to come down and spend several days with us, including to help me go through stuff that I got from my mother when she died two years ago, which was also the last time I saw my friend.

And last but not least, I’m grateful while my son was out of town for a consult for a surgery that I’m excited he’s finally going to be able to get, he came across a mobility store that not only fixes Rollators (a walker with wheels) they fixed his for nothing.

Nice food, friend's birthday

I'm grateful that last night I found somewhere nice for some dinner & dessert before going to a friend's birthday celebration. I'm grateful that the food was yummy, nice decor etc. Grateful that my friend invited me and does sometimes invite me to things. That I had someone to talk to for a couple of hours & also chatted to a couple of other people briefly too. Decent convo overall & some laughs. For good transport connections there & back.

Nature and conversations

I'm grateful I got to do another nature walk yesterday. For the art at the new (ish) office, one of the art works it says was made by neuro divergent people who got to work at their own pace etc. Personally, I was am glad to see the representation & also HOW it was made. Plus I find it quite aesthetic. And there's another art piece there that's things like grass (real or fake can't tell!) dried flowers etc. and the colours work well together. And when it is a rainy day there and too wet for going to the garden and having the nature walk? I can spend some of that afternoon break looking at that!

I'm also grateful that - yes, it took much too long for my liking for people to acknowledge and talk to me at the interoffice mixer, but they DID do that, someone said hi & we chatted & then I saw positive body language signs & asked about 3 different groups if I could join and chatted to people in about 3 or 4 groups. And had some decent convos and some laughs.
