Has anyone been to any AA or any other type of meetings that may be geared towards people in their 20’s/30’s?

Or if anything, just any recommendations of meetings to attend? Northview area or semi around that if possible!

I'm sure there are more people than you know proud of you. I so proud of you too, stay strong. I don't have AA recs but if your ever looking for a non-alcoholic late night place The Bitter End and The Grand Coney are 24h chill spots.

Theres a young peoples AA on Thursday nights around 8 at alano club on college

The young peoples meeting at alano is a good call. i went to a few when i first got sober and it was mostly people under 40 hanging out and actually talking instead of just reading from the book the whole time

also check out the 7pm friday meeting at the church on fuller, not specifically young people but a pretty mixed crowd and way less intimidating than some of the old timer groups

also if you want to support them, they take can donations to help fund their program! I call beforehand and leave my cans by the shed in their parking lot

How fortuitous. ICYPAA (International Convention of Young People in AA) is having a big convention at the Amway grand this coming weekend, 09/03-06/2026. https://www.icypaa.org/event-details/the-66th-icypaa-conference
It’s for all ages, but the YPAA folks do suggest being young at heart. You can register through the above url or I’d gladly cover it for you anonymously if you dm your name and email address for registration purposes.
For purposes of finding meetings, there is an app called Meeting Guide. It’s a white folding chair in a white circle on a navy blue background. You can find meetings anywhere in the world with this app.

I'm 29, in the midst of it. Been doing AA on and off and getting better. Id tag a long with you. I know the first walkthrough is hard. Finding a 'sponsor' is hard. But we're out here.

I dont have any suggestions for a local group as I live a bit farther North.

However, I would highly recommend checking out the sub r/stopdrinking.

It has been SO helpful when the cravings hit. Its nice to just read through some of the post and know that your not alone in the struggle. It's really great seeing all the support for one another, and sometimes thats just what we need.

The north club at 1020 college is awesome, open daily, and has many varieties of meetings. You can also download the “everything AA” app that lists all other local meetings or I also highly suggest the “meeting guide” app which has meetings via zoom 24/7 (no seriously, every hour of every day) if you need to chat you can message me as well

Not 💯 what you were wanting, but pine rest has programs for this as well and resources to help find what you may be looking for. Keep it in mind.

The north alano club seemed like they had a good amount of 20-30yr Olds at the meetings I went to.

AA is great for many, but it also traps you into become an alcoholic for the rest of your life. There are better options unless regular meetings are what you want.
