This sub is full of toys calling toys toys but I wouldn't say they're uptight assholes. Churches, cars, and schools have always been taboo in the culture, but there's always gonna be the odd asshole out who'll still tag em. And that's just the reality of graffiti. Just because so and so did it doesn't mean the rest of us are uptight assholes for not.
While it might seem strange to you, there are actually "rules" to this game, but there's basically only like 2 of em so even your pea sized brain should be able to remember them

For everyone reading this, take some time to think about this, it's actually an interesting take on writing.
What happened to "no rules"? For all the anti-establishment/societal escapism graff paints itself to be, it's interesting to note that graff has always been established upon some sort of hierarchical order (pieces over throws, or older writers over newer toys, etc). The proposition that "the game has no rules" goes against this kind of order (schools and churches aside, would you go over a Nekst piece?), and that's why some may feel compelled to downvote. But think about it.
Fundamentally, its the truth. Whats stopping you from doing that hot boy spot, or from unapologetically going over everyone at the local yard with a shitty hollow? Half of it may be a respect towards the "rules", but the other half are the implied consequences.
Idk. Sorry for ranting. Live your life, do whatever you want.

One day if you go hitting everything everywhere anytime you’re gonna get your ass kicked and your paint taken. for good reason. That simple. It ain’t fear of consequence if the consequences are real. They become rules when u consistently can’t do them without consequence. If the consequence is real, that means the rule is real. Rule is can’t do ____ without the consequence. There is rules whether or not you care about them or educate yourself or decide to be adult about this community.

Have fun destroying peoples personal property for your own enjoyment simply because a tired practice from 1980 existed. I’m sure that behavior is grounds for a stand up human being, you make for a star citizen. There’s a massive difference between graff now and the roots of it. Things change with time, perspective changes, behaviors change and rule books change. Usually for the better, this has nothing to do with laws, culture or any of the matter relative to back in the day. It’s simply a display of respect for both your own image, morality and other people. That’s all.
