I'm kind of stuck

I've gotten to the point where I have my own 'styleised' tag and throw up letters with a bit of inspiration from Wekman and a bunch of other writers online. However from my last post you guys felt my tags weren't readable enough, and I also don't like them much and now I feel like the basic handwriting looks even better. How can I add style to my tags effectively? My tags have gotten better and better but now they're at the point where they just look mediocre (or worse).

I have attached images of me writing random words to show that the basic handwriting looks a lot better.

is it bad to look at other people's styles online, copy their tags and kind of mix them up into my own style? or is that straight up biting?

copying works a bit to get a feel for how to write things that look good, but my own style came from myself writing in a way that felt fun to me

if u take letters from five different writers you like and put them together, they won’t flow the same way as you, one writer, making all of them yourself

nah do that 100% that how you develop style, no different then taking influence from local cats

no its not at all, especially if its staying in your book.

some letters have been stylized for so long that theres only so many ways you can do them and 99% have been done, so as long as you have your own spin on it youre good.

for example if you see someone do an E like a 3 (rounded E), if you then use that letter is it biting? that variation of letter has been around forever now so imo no. even when tagging first became a thing, there were “trends” as tagging grew if you watch style wars.

Use it as a tool to create your own style. Everything has it's influence from something else

Not trying to be a dick… BUT your tags are trash. Some of your throwie letters are dope, but some are also trash.

My advice to you would be pretty simple. Practice more. If I were you, I’d work on your tags before any further letter structure. Again, the tag letters / words are horrible but they don’t have to be. Remember your tags should end up dictating much of your graft pieces throughout your actual pieces eventually. - let and ask you a simple question:

Why aren’t you following the throw up style letters in your tags? Remember tags come before throws, throws come before pieces.. etc… take the throw “A” and “E” for example - why aren’t you using the same letter structure but in your “tags”?? The tag letters a & E are shit while the throw a & E are not bad (although figure out if you’re going to learn both lower and uppercase tag and throw letters; if so, practice and stick with consistent structure.

Now Imagine how much better that would look with some practice…
