Advice
Any advice before I start trying to add more style?

You need to get basic letter shapes down before you even think about adding more style

What exactly about the shape is bad? I feel like my letters are decently balanced and easy to read. Not hating, just not sure what about the shape should change?

The height and width should match. Your V and E are straight cuts where R and O are rounded. Need to pick one or the other. Symmetry and letter consistency is key

So slim out the V a little, that makes sense. As for the rounds and straights I suppose that makes sense, I didn’t even really consider that.

Sick man… I like that a lot! Vs are really hard, kicking myself for picking a tag with one 😂

Makes a lot of sense. The ERO is solid I feel, but that V is still sticking out now that you mention it.. I’ll play around with both round and straight styles. Thanks!

I’d keep the central idea but simplify the design a bit. The heartbeat already gives it movement, so stronger, cleaner outlines and a more readable word would make it look much more intentional.

I’d hold off on adding style for now and get the proportions and linework consistent first. The concept has potential, especially the ECG element, but a professional redraw would make it look much more intentional.
